Good run tonight/this morning. I think I'll be holding off on using those Siva keys since all I get are doubles of the weapon that already dropped. The bridge part was pretty cool and something different from what we've seen in the past for Raid battles. Looking forward to running again tonight.

Hopefully we have enough firepower next weeekend to take down the first phase of Aksis. I really need an artifact to drop in the worst way right now.

Also hoping my armorless streak ends. 8 possible drops between boss drops and opening chests so far and nada.

Pretty sure we have the firepower already. It's the technique that needs to be worked on, and proper loadouts. The first phase is all about clearing adds and killing those captains.

Hovering around 363 now with my Warlock....passing down gear from her to my Hunter has helped with him close to 360. Is 365 the absolute bottom number to do the Raid....actually helping instead of hindering? Or 367-370 a bit more comfortable?

If anyone needs to run the CoE tonight let me know. I'd like to get one more character thru.

The first time I ran the raid with Scott, I think I started at 352 (got up to 357 by the time we finished which was part 2 of the final boss battle). Like he said in his post above, it's more about technique than firepower. This raid is very different in that there are drops in the boss battles that can be more effective than your weapons (SIVA charges, scorch cannons, etc). A couple of the battles don't even involve you shooting the boss. IMO, a higher Light level really just makes it easier to stay alive longer. But knowing where and where not to be is the most important.

I was able to finish the raid yesterday with a group from LFG and all 6 players in the fireteam were 362-368.

Sorry I was absent for the past couple of days I wanted to hit the raid but I was on call all weekend. Scott is right about the technique on the raid but when we were running it the other night it was 2 am and I was squishy and drowsy - not a good combination for the first time running the raid.

@ Buzz - I'll roll with you for the PoE. I haven't run it in a couple of weeks. I think I am at 362 with my
Titan.
I'll probably run some more of the sepkis strikes to slowly level up a bit more before doing some more work with my other Warlock and Hunter.

Saladin has an Iron Engram, which will give you an old IB piece of gear.

The problem: It costs 5 silver dust. Fuck. So the odds of getting the old IB Warlock chest, not good.

Also, gold and I beat the raid. More on that later...

You get IB gear from each weekly, and armor weapons are dropping frequently post match. In 2 hours on my hunter I finished all 4 bounties, was just shy of Rank 4 and had 3 exotic engrams drop.

Still haven't had an artifact drop, but I was able to get my Warlock to 376, so that's the minimum for it when it drops (hopefully tonight). Once that happens I'll hit 377 and will decode my 4 exotic engrams I have stashed.

So, before I go on with the glory, a bit of sad news: The chest in the diamond room that gives the exotic engram is a one time only drop. Once you've gotten something out of it, that's it. So no exotic engrams every week. Oh well. Guess we'll just have to settle for the 5 other chests in the raid for possible exotics.

Also, you can get the 7th and 8th artifacts from the temple cryptarch this week.

Now on with the show. It was myself, god, our good old friend meatpants, and British pal joe along with a couple of others that finally got the job done. For gold and myself, it was the first time we actually finished it. Before finally getting it done, we came within a shot, just one freaking shot of beating it. I mean you couldn't see how much life the boss had left it was so low. But it was somehow not enough.

2 replacements and nearly 2 hours later we finally had the bastard beaten. The video follows below.



So for science, and my own desire to know what I'd get, I went and spent my silver dust from breaking down the two crappy ornaments I've gotten from radiant treasures and bought a pair of iron engrams.

Engram 1: Warlock boots from 2nd IB set.
Engram 2: Warlock boots from 1st IB set.

Yep, fucking boots...twice. And they drop at Level 3, of course. Broke down the first pair,m and got 3 marks and mats. No silver dust...of course.
