I'm flexible. Doubt I bother with the nightfalls.

OK, gold, joe and myself just finished our nightfalls, bringing reset day to a close for us.

Last week we had our lowest turnout at reset, with only 3 of us able to attend. This week we were back up to 6, with McRubick bringing in a friend from work to fill out the lineup. We were able to get him through his first Crota completions on one of his characters.

We started with the VOG, and ran through that pretty quick. I got my second pair of Hunter boots from it, as well as another Ice Breaker. Not much else. Joe finally got his Timepiece, completing his Raid/Exotic collection.

We did our Crota runs a little different this week. We did full normal as usual, then followed that with the hard kill before moving to the next character. That worked well for the first run. Crota gave me a Monte Carlo at some point. Sharded. Obviously.

The second run was a bit tougher. We did normal alright, but for some reason things seemed cursed on hard. Everything that could go wrong did. I'm just glad it wasn't my run with the sword After several failed attempts someone suggested going to orbit and coming back in. I countered with going to orbit and doing normal run 3, to get this stink off our hands. The group agreed and we started the third run, which was my sword run.

Of course everything went smooth. Clean run through normal, and I was rewarded with my 3rd Black Hammer. It would prove to be my best drop of the day. After a quick and easy run through hard Crota, we went back and tried again on our second characters. It took a few more tries, but we finally knocked it out.

Then it was on to the Nightfalls. Here's what we got on our first run:



Gold was a bit of a psychic there. As he called that he got coins before the rewards came up.

Second time around, Joe got Ruin Wings, Gold got a Skull Of Dire Ahamkara, and I got 7 Shards.

Third run, Joe got a Last Word, Gold a heavy engram, and I got a Dead Orbit Shotgun I sharded.

Well, at least I know I should get something new next week.

Just a small note: Bungie has delayed the launch of the 1.2.0 patch. They just posted on Twitter that the patch will not launch today, but haven't given a specific time when they will do it.

What do you guys plan on upgrading first when you get an Etheric light? I feel it will be more beneficial to upgrade armor to reach 34 than upgrading the weapons first. I'm just having trouble deciding which armor to upgrade first.

I guess I'll want to hit 34 first with my Warlock since revive will come in handy during PoE. Not sure what armor pieces I'll upgrade, but I'll probably go for a high intellect build.

First weapon I upgrade will be my Fatebringers

Haha. I have never done the VoG and only read about it when it first came online. That is why I shall surround myself with experts! ☺

that's actually good as I also went into it blind (no pun intended) my first run

I'm sure the group we have could speed run it if we wanted but I think it is more important that we let you take it all in and walk you through the mechanics of it all

in preparation I would say obviously bring your highest leveled armor and best weapons (void elemental damage if you have on special and/or heavy)
