I wonder if they will change up some of those jump scare moments yet again.

Ugh, looks like the RE4 HD redux, which I assume will be released on consoles soon.

Not impressed with that remaster trailer, but I'll still buy it if it's $15 bucks.

$20 sounds good enough for me to give this a purchase next year.

Yeah. that was a very good looking game for that era. The GC had some damn good exclusives.

Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)

The PS1 era Resident Evil and Final Fantasy games kind of "cheat" a bit because they use pre-rendered backgrounds. So the only actual polygons being pushed are in the character models.

But yeah, the GC was pretty powerful. It was actually much more powerful than the PS2 was. In terms of power, that generation was Xbox > GC > PS2.

I'm looking forward to playing this .... yet again. I wonder if they will switch up anything in the game like they did with the GC version.

That was a strangely compiled video because the first few side-by-side shots (Kenneth and the dogs) showed little difference in quality and didn't really sell the upgrade well.

The actual in-game shots show a fairly big difference. The cut scenes at the beginning do look pretty similar.

Review not posted online yet, but Game Informer gave it 95 on PS4.

Looking forward to see if they tweaked the tank like controls...

They've already said they have. You can play as classic tank controls and also as modern controls like in the most recent RE games.

Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)

I just played through RE: Revelations in anticipation of this. I've always loved the RE series but I've missed a few along the way. After I finish playing through this RE remaster I'll play 6 and then RE: Revelations 2 once it hits on disc.

3 & 6 are the only two main games (not counting portable and side shoot stuff) I've never played.

Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)

Have they mentioned anything about remaking 2 and 3 if this one sells well? I hoped they would have remade 2 and 3 way back when the first game was remade on the Gamecube, but sadly it never happened.

The first three are true classics to me. I never cared much for 4 and later games because they became more action-oriented and less survival horror.

Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)

^ i agree on 4, but that was what i found so fascinating about RE4 was that level of action and sorta horror hybrid level of detail. just one of my favorite games of all time.

I've said it before but I really think they could remake 2/3 into one really big cool game. Code Veronica and the remake were actually my favorites though.

Can't wait to see the Crimson Heads!
