Oh, Baby!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been getting weekly (well not this week) free DLC as bonus content which includes armour, costumes, weapons and the like. But all eyes are on the upcoming story-heavy DLC packs.
During our interview with the studio's Konrad Tomaszkiewicz at Gamelab, the game director touched on what we can expect to see in those expansions:
"The expansion packs will be whole new storylines with all the elements you've got in the main story (like cutscenes, new characters, new items, new Gwent cards) and many, many more. They will be quite long. The first expansion will be around 10 hours and the second expansion will be around 20 hours... and I think it's possible that they will be bigger, because it's always like this (that when we plan some time or hours, it's twice or something like this), but I'm not promising anything right now. And even now, if you sum up this 10 to 20 hours and you compare it to The Witcher 2, it's almost the size of The Witcher 2. And it will be cool, it will be new stories, it will be very emotional stories and I think that people will be happy."
Hearts of Stone launches sometime this autumn, while Blood and Wine will be available early 2016.
Besides DLC, Tomaszkiewicz also talks the improvements being currently implemented into the game, storytelling techniques, game feel and even some Gwent. You can watch the full interview below:

Re: The Witcher 3 - May 19, 2015 - PS4, XBO, PC
Finally finished it this weekend. I had practically exhausted every quest in the game and ended up level 37 by the end. Still gonna play, but thankfully not as much time from here on out. Looking forward to the DLC and expanded quests.
One thing, i am still have problems with killing the Katakan in the barn. I just don't get whats happening with this and think its actually a glitch. The level for the quest i believe is 25, but my character even with the higher level, fantastic armor and weapons gets killed literally within one hit by this thing. I use my shield, drop down in the barn, the vampire thing hits me, for some reason loses half its health, and from that point on i rolll or dodge and hit and nothing. No energy is lost from the thing at all. I fight it in the middle of the day as well, so it is supposed to be vulnerable. It hits me once and i automatically die. Its just damn annoying. Other than collecting the remaining Gwent cards this is the only side quest i have to complete.

Seems like the newest patch (1.08) kinda fucks up the game on the PS3, causing it to stutter, skip and go down to 20fps during more intense moments (Novigrad, rain, etc.). Glad I finished the game before this fuck up.

The new patch doesn't fix the quest glitch introduced in 1.07. I can't finish the Witcher contract with the Wolf, Godling, Troll, and Doppler. Very annoying.

Finally threw this in to my PS4 the other night and damn - I am weak. I get overwhelmed by everything it seems. Any advice on leveling up very early in the game. I may have to tone down the difficulty.

for me, getting used to the combat was a bit difficult. In the beginning I would just take all the messages off the boards and then go explore the question marks on the map. Also, moving through the story can get you a lot more experience points than exploring so you could do a few main story missions before getting too crazy.
If you come upon an enemy and their health bar has a red skull next to it, it means you have absolutely no chance of winning and you should run.
For combat, I was of the "hack until its dead" type but in this game you need to attack 2 or 3 times and then retreat or defend for a bit.
For larger groups of attackers I use the "igni" fire sign because it seems to distract everyone and I can focus a few hits on one enemy before they all regain their composure and come for me.
Most important thing early on...took me a while to understand...one of the early side quests gets you a potion called "swallow". This is waaay better than food for restoring health during a fight.

Thanks. I haven't seen enemies with the red skull butI have had a few higher level enemies kill me in 2 shots.

So I just bought the game. Going through the last few pages, seems like it takes up a few days to finish the game, which to me would take about a week to play lol. How easy does it control one's live that time just easily passes? Looking at the Honest Trailer, seems like not going to work/school is easily in the cards for people.

Finally wrapped this up last night. Fallout 3 was probably the last game I put this much time into. It was nearly the only game I played since the start of July, and I've been getting in 15-20 hours of gaming per week. Other than several small glitches and one larger one (Skellige's most wanted), the game was pretty much perfect. I didn't care for gwent, but that was almost entirely optional. This and Bloodborne alone make 2015 one of my favorite years for gaming in quite a while.

Reviews for the Hearts of Stone DLC are trickling in - looks like winner!
GameSpot - 9/10 superb
"The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone is at once a horror story, a romance, a character study, and a classic fairy tale. And somehow, these disparate parts mesh to form a cohesive whole."

I rarely buy DLC for a game, but I went ahead and preordered Hearts of Stone. Looking forward to taking a break from slogging through MGS5 to revisit this.

I can't believe no one's been playing and/or chiming in on the Hearts of Stone DLC.
Anyways, I finished it this last weekend. Took me right around 20 hours to do all main and side-missions, which is remarkable considering it was only $10. Some nice new locations and expansions of the main map, and more of Oxenfurt, which was underused in the main game. Great story and great new characters along with some fun new monster types and enemies. Probably the best DLC I've ever played. For $10, it's like they're giving it away. I've payed $60 for shorter, shittier content.
Also, the game's been updated to version 1.11, and it's rock fucking solid.
