Re: Forza Horizon 2 (XB1, 360) - Fall 2014
Noted! I even set a reminder on my phone so I can buy it tonight. Now if you can get working on that time machine so we can go back and get that car pack for 50% off we'll be in business.
I put another couple hours into this over the weekend and it's such an enjoyable and relaxing game. This is my 2015's 2014 GOTY.

Forza Horizon 2 Car Pass is half off at $12.50 for Gold members. I figure it's totally worth it remembering how in FH2 any purchased DLC is immediately available for "Free" in-game.

Yet the game itself stubbornly refuses to have a price drop. It's still over $50 on Amazon a year after release.

I'm just about to wrap this one up. Finished the second championship mode tonight and just started Storm Island. Played about 16 hrs so far, and worth every second. I only have three more buck list challenges to complete (damn Playground Games challenges) and the last barn find is on Storm Island. Then I can take a break for a couple weeks before starting FH3

A very odd announcement, but this game will be delisted next month

It's currently a free game w/ GWG, but if you want any of the DLC, this is your final chance to grab it.

If that's the case, wouldn't it make sense for the original Forza Horizon to be delisted first?
In any case a couple of the car packs are on sale. I'm not sure if I would get around to playing again, but I might grab the Porsche pack for 85% off.

Forza Horizon's been delisted since Sept 2016. It's not available for purchase on the marketplace anymore.

Ah, it's probably still showing up for me since I own it. I thought it was weird that one was still available, but I guess that's not the case then.
So if it's a license issue, how do other games like NFS get around that? Because those are still available, are they not?

If you purchase a game and then it is delisted, you will still have access to it from your download history.
The licenses for those games may not have expired or may have been renewed. Take for example, X1's backwards compatibility with the 360 and especially with the original Xbox, I'm sure MS is either trying to renew or extend any licenses on those games since they said all future systems will have access to all the games you purchased before.

Re: Forza Horizon 2 (XB1, 360) - Fall 2014
I haven't played a Forza game in a long time. I never liked how realistic they were since I was more of an arcade racer. Never been big into all the custom stuff either. I like my racing games simple and fun which is why I usually stuck to Burnout and the like.
Anyway, I nabbed this since it was free and thought I would give it a chance since I haven't played a racing game in some time. I kept hoping they would give a Rally game away at some point but oh well.
Anyway, I just have to say how much I am really enjoying this game. The handling is a nice mix of real and arcade. The graphics are gorgeous and hard to believe it is a 4 year old game. I enjoy the way they set up the races and the storyline isn't an annoying, bogged down mess that so many of the Need For Speed games seemed to have become. You also get a nice amount of off-road fun and not have to strictly stay on a track the entire time.
I like the way they incorporate your friends into the game as well. I am assuming they are just bots with your friend's name on the cars, correct? Or is that prior runs that they made?
The online portion is intuitive and seems well done in the little time I have spent on it. I like the way you keep getting experience points, even just driving to the different races.
Shame they are delisting it but I just read that Forza Horizon 4 comes out in October so that makes sense. The Porsche DLC is on sale right now for $1.99. That Storm Island DLC looks cool but it is still $20. Any change of it going down in price before they delist it?
Has Forza ever done a NFS type game where the cops chase you? I hate to say it but those are my favorite.

Yeah, Forza Motorsport(simulation) and Forza Horizon(arcade) are definitely different even though they share a name.
Everyones' cars will race based on how they race when they played. I think this is an awesome feature as you'll always be racing against a real person vs bots.
There is always a chance Storm Island will be discounted before it's delisted. Keep an eye out for the all downloadable pack which includes everything in one pack.
Forza has never had cop chases. NFS MW is one of the best games I've ever played.
