I haven't played any of the Farcry games (just never got around to it...). Is there one I should absolutely go back and check out before this is released?

Far Cry 3 was a lot of fun and the first five minutes puts you squarely in the game with emotion and a near perfect song to boot.

Came out in a call to investors. Can't just say "Hey guys, wait until E3".

I know we all want big surprises at E3, but really just show me footage from all these title announcements. Putting a logo up on screen on stage at a press conference is ultimately pretty worthless.

Really looking forward to this. I loved the first game. Second game was very good, although the sickness thing got a bit tiring after a while. I did love the fact that weapons had a shelf life though. Added a lot to fire fights. The third game was more a kind of cross of the two games that came before and was really excellent. This is a series that just seems to get better and takes chances. Count me in.

I'm all over this on day one. Far Cry 3 was easily, for me, one of the best titles of last generation. Even if this one is nothing more than a coat of fresh paint and a new local I'm sure I'll love it.

Far Cry 3 was the best in the franchise, but imo the console versions are horrendous -- the framerate (generally between 23 and 24 fps) was just god awful and made a lot of it feel clunky and old. Play it on a decent PC or wait for the inevitable next-gen port (as a downloadable title, probably in November).

I am excited for this. Far cry 3 was good but not great. I know a lot of people loved it, but I ultimately found it a bit repetitive, with a dumb story and some stupid missions. Coop was a joke. (I am also one of the rare few that actually loved Far Cry 2)...that being said this game does look like a blast...

I didn't care for Far Cry 2 but enjoyed Far Cry and Far Cry 3.

A re-release of Far Cry 3 is going to happen, it'd be a waste not to.

This game looks sexy as hell. Probably the retail game I'm most interested in for this fall, and I have no other experience with the series.
