Watched that video, looks absolutely gorgeous but the gameplay looks extremely arcadey. I hope they have lots of settings to change between arcade, simulation and everything in between.

I know it was announced previously, but 50 cars seems a kinda stingy for a full car racing game. There are more tracks than cars in this game! Another 9 free cars and 38 Season Pass DLC cars are coming in later updates though (as seen in that picture above). Hope the cars are as gorgeous as they look in Forza 5. Those weather effects are so pretty (but be aware that their most recent Blog post seemed to indicate that weather effects were something coming later -- not sure if that's all weather or some sort of advanced weather system that's coming via free update.

I don't mind a shorter list, as long as it's a good one (NFS Rivals being a good example of that).

This one does have a few obvious gaps though. It's very very European.

I do think track variety is a bigger issue than a huge number of cars. People were moaning about the fewer cars in Forza 5 (though to be fair, it's like quadruple the number of cars here) - but for me the issue with F5 wasn't the car number but the appalling lack of tracks. I kept racing the same courses again and again. I need some variation and with few tracks and no weather, things got really repetitive.
With 55- then up to 66 tracks, this game is unlikely to get nearly as repetitive.

There aren't 55 unique tracks, though. I believe that number includes variations, reversals, etc.

Can't wait to give this a try. I still question the handling/controls after watching some in game footage, but it'd be awesome to have yet another great racing game after just getting Forza Horizon 2.

Yeah, comes out on Tuesday 10/7. You can digitally pre-order it and play it at Midnight, but I recommend everyone try the PS Plus version first and play that for a while; there are no discounts or pre-order bonuses for ordering it via the PSN store.
Also remember that the Spend $100/Get $15 back deal is live in the PSN store. Makes it a pretty good deal if this game turns out to be good.

I'd like to have a car club for us. Hope we can organize one.

Yeah, but not a greater discount than you can get buy upgrading any time after release.

I hadn't thought about the $15 deal. If the demo handles well, I might actually consider that.

Like I posted though, if you spend $100 in the PSN Store between 10/1-10/28, you'll get $15 in store credit back by 11/7. If you're likely to get this game (and especially if you want the $25 Car Pass as well), it makes sense to buy it in October.

I watched some play on Twitch at lunch time. It looks SO pretty. I like the menus as well. They seem to be much easier to navigate than those in Forza 5. Amazing lighting effects -- watching fireworks go off in a dark night sky at the end of a race never gets old!
