Hi...general question about how to play the game...I'm pretty far in the game. I now have 3 characters. (Not sure if I'm supposed to eventually get 4.) Anyway, I'm having trouble finding missions. I haven't played many games like this where you have so much freedom. Not really sure how to progress the story.

Any suggestions?

That's not a general question about GTA, it's a specific question about GTA V.

You might check your cell phone, you get a lot of story missions that way. Then again, you're further in the story than I've gotten.

Pull up your map. There should be Icons on where to go. M for Michael, F for Franklin, and T for Trevor. You can even click on the icon and a GPS will appear telling you where to go.

The fourth character is your Online Character.

Sometimes, you can just switch to a different character on the fly, and mission markers on the map will appear for whoever you're playing.

Actually the letters on the map will refer to the person giving you the mission, not who they're for. Instead, you'll look at the color. Michael's missions are blue, Franklin's are green, and Trevor's are orange.

Depending on where you are in the story, only one character may have missions available. Other times, you have to do specific missions to unlock other missions.
