I went to college with one of the co-founders of Turtle Rock. We worked together in an Indy game back in the day with a bunch of folks from around the world (yup, internet collaboration in 1995 was slow but fun). He's come a long way since those days.

This game looks epic. I hope it comes off as good as it's hyped up to be. There's a lot of promise.

I bet this news blindsided about everyone out there. The game took (4) of the E3 Critics Awards and every indication was a October release...now pushed back almost four months. Add another in the long list of "Delayed & Pushed Back"

I do wonder : Late Winter/Early Spring seems to be a pretty slow time for game sales. Not really the time of year you want to have a glut of new Next Gen games really.

Hunters, shooter fans, giant monsters, unite! 2K and Turtle Rock’s multiplayer shooter Evolve is getting a closed “Big Alpha” test later this month. Do you enjoy the occasional, death-defying hunt through exotic alien jungles? Or do you prefer the confidence of a lumbering giant that hurls rocks at prey? Evolve caters to both play styles!

The closed alpha test is happening on PS4 from October 31st to November 2nd. Please mark your calendars.



Evolve’s been playable at select tradeshows earlier this year, but for many of you this will be your first and best chance to see what Turtle Rock has cooking before it launches. Evolve is still months out from its release date on February 10th, so getting in now is recommended if you’re impatient. Which is totally fine.

Because this is a limited closed alpha test, you’ll need a code to register for a chance to participate. Fortunately, we have one for you below. Use before it expires and remember that you must have an active PS Plus membership to play.

To sign-up you’ll need to enter a code into this website https://www.2kgames.com/evolve/bigalpha/index.php . There’s a couple of codes doing the rounds, each of which can be used a few thousand times. So if one of the codes below doesn't work, give the other a bash and see if you have any luck.

The Evolve alpha ends on November 2nd. You’ll need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to take part, obvs. There's a trailer below too.

I tried the alpha. And I didn't like it. Not my kind of game I guess.

Yes, you need a good team. I only played as a human, so not sure if playing as a monster is easier or harder.

I'm sure some people will like it, because it's creative in some aspects. But 3 minutes in the match and I was bored. And the match lasted like 10 minutes. Yeah.

I'm with ya. Played it for a round, and realized i didn't care for it (or that type of game, still) and deleted it immediately. Oh well - others will be loving it I'm sure.
