It's almost certainly an extremely small minority of players being affected, since the game has been out a week and this is the first anyone's heard about the problem.

There are some exploits out there that, in my opinion, make the game much more fun.

You can also duplicate items that are valuable so that you can re-sell a bunch of them to a vendor for a nice profit to turn and use to buy better weapons. You can also duplicate disaster relief packages that can be turned in for survivor points, thus making you much more of a bad ass. The game is more fun in my opinion if I don't have to mindlessly wail on the skulls of zombies over and over to kill them. I want to slice and dice and this allows me to do just that.

I bet they'll patch that immediately. So, basically, I'm gonna disconnect the game from the internet until after I do this a lot.

I haven't duplicated anything and my inventory is overflowing with more than enough of everything. I'm not even halfway through the story yet and I'm already slicing and dicing most enemies in one hit. If anything, it seems like a pointless way to make the game far too easy. If that's your thing, great, I guess.

I guess this works after the latest patch as well:

That same glitch existed in Dead Island, and I don't believe they ever patched it. I love how it's now carried over to their next game

This game gets better and better the more I play it. Don't skip the Quarantine Zones -- they're the best sections of the game.

I finished this tonight...fantastic game.

I was not a fan of the some of the story elements, and the last mission was garbage...also you can't coop the final mission which was sort of a kick to the balls since we had played the entire game coop...

Overall easily one of the best games released this generation.

Re: Dying Light (from Dead Island Devs -- PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One -- Feb 201

Yep, I finished it last night too. Great game and tons of fun.

Like most open world games, I found the side content to be a lot more enjoyable than the main storyline quests. A couple of those were straight up bullshit.

(Mild spoilers)
Spoiler:
If I have to play one more game where my entire inventory is taken away and I'm thrown into a combat arena with an awful weapon, I'm going to lose my shit. And this one does it twice!

Seriously though, seek out and complete the Quarantine Zones. There are 8 in the game and they're the most unique, horror movie-esque content on offer.

I'm enjoying this more and more. As you progress, the parkour stuff gets less and less annoying. The game does give a really good sense of dread when it turns to night. I'd say I'm liking this more than Dead Island.

I still have about 8 or so side quest to do, but I think I will hold off until they patch the glitch with trophies...(I guess it is the same on the xbox?)

There are now 4 trophies that will not pop for me...and the only thing keeping me from my platinum...grrr (oh and the grapple hook cutting into my climb numbers...damn stupid fun grapple hook)

Yeah, it's glitched on Xbox too. I'm finished with all achievements except that glitched one. I've completed all the sidequests.

The Dying Light season pass sounds like a waste of money. You get a few new challenges, a couple of new weapons, a horde mode and costumes. Really? Costumes for a first person game? Whoop Dee Doo!

Does anyone's game crash in Old Town on the PS4? Whenever I get into a firefight w/ Rais's henchmen it crashes...don't know if thats the reason though.

Dying Light Getting Free Hard Mode DLC

Techland will be adding some free DLC to Dying Light that introduces a new hard mode to the game in response to some players who aren't finding the game enough of a challenge. As well as the new level of difficulty, the free add-on will also bring a few new skins to the zombie table.

The hope is that hard mode will make the tough night phases even more dangerous, with Volatiles proving fatal and undead enemies proving more deadly than usual. Stealth will be of paramount importance to survive. Or you can do what we do and cower in a building until morning comes.

Dying Light's upcoming free hard mode update will be "coming soon", and is "the first of many additions to come" according to the developer. There's new paid DLC out now for the game too

I guess if creeping around at night and avoiding combat altogether is fun then by all means. I prefer to be able to go head to head and at least have a chance. Hell, even with 200 health and really good weapons I still die somewhat frequently. Now, back to those costumes. Why?
