I couldn't find much but the most I did find is over at IGN where they said they didn't get their copy till yesterday morning and wasn't able to do a full review before midnight's launch. They did say they hope to have the full review by today...

About an hour in and I'm absolutely loving it so far. It's very similar to Dead Island, unsurprisingly, but it's a vastly more polished experience.

it's giving me motion sickness, though.

basically, when you jump, your head whips all around and that sensation is causing me problems.

I hear everyone saying it's like Mirrors Edge. I hated Mirrors Edge.

I loved Mirror's Edge. Though obviously, this one is way less linear, without a clear path to run like ME's levels had.

I wanna know if it's worth getting soon, because I really want to drop-kick some zombies!

I put in about 2 - 3 hours today. I would say, if you enjoyed Dead Island, then get it. If not or haven't played Dead Island, then I'd wait for more reviews. It literally could be a sequel to the Dead Island game if you knew nothing about it. It looks pretty damn good, but the jumping controls and scheme might be terrible for many people who try it.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to hate it. Don't like zombie games (even the really good ones), hate non-intuitive controls and loathe tough games with significant penalties for dying. Still it's on the way from Gamefly. I'll give it a spin tomorrow and be sure to send it back in time for the next AAA title (Evolve, I guess)

I was hoping more in line with a cross between Left 4 Dead and Dead Island. I'm still giving the game a chance as I've wanted a game for awhile where I can smash Zombies In The Face!...damn I miss LFD...bats, frying pans, swords, guitars, crowbars, 2x4's, etc...

Now that game -- the first LFD I truly loved. Thought they made the second one too hard but that first one was a thing of beauty

I forgot to mention I hated it because I sucked at it. I couldn't do the moves or abilities and I kept dying and had to start over.

There's not much in the way of L4D here, especially not in the weapons. It's very Dead Island even in that respect. Rusty pipes, nail boards, etc. which can take on elemental mods. Even the menus and crafting system look very similar to those in DI.

I didn't get into Dead Island. Frankly, Im so used to my RE4 obsession that any other game with zombies has paled in comparison: LFD, Dead Rising. I did love the first 2 Dead Spaces' though. Again that is shooting stuff, which I like. Not foraging to make weapons with a spatula and creme brûlée torch.

I'm hearing a lot of comparisons to Left 4 Dead and Dead Island, 2 games you pretty much have to play multiplayer to really get the most out of them. Is Dying Light going to be the same? I rarely play online so if the single player campaign is shit i'll probably just skip this one.

It does have a co-op, but from what I've read, it's one of those "bullet point" multiplayer modes, where they just throw it in so it looks like an added feature, when it's not really something all that substantive. The focus seems to be on the single player game.

I played it for an hour or so. It's surprisingly fun. The jump button being the right shoulder button works great since you never have to take your hand off the controller. I didn't accidentally press A at all.

If you're on the fence, grab it. You won't be disappointed.

Also, the music is very 80s horror movie synth, and I love it.

The campaign is the same experience whether you are playing by yourself or co-op. It's seamless, drop in/drop out co-op. You can play game just fine by yourself. Clearing out some of the save points may be a little hectic by yourself, but otherwise you should be just fine.

I played for a few hours last night and I'm enjoying the heck out of it. The RB jump takes a few seconds to adjust to, but after that, all was good.

Traversing the world is easy and the weapons seem to really have impact when they hit. Good stuff.

L4D series was a co-op blast and the pace was about just right. I tried Dead Island and though I liked the openness of the game it had some drawbacks.

Though not a "Official Review"...Gameinformer has a pretty good take of early on impressions which seems to give the game high marks with a few quirks. Good read....

And another that's not a "Official Review" but has it as Dying Light Day 2 is over at IGN that seems pretty positive....

Game looks amazing..the controls are amazing..my only problem is waiting on my friend to get back from a business trip so we can coop it...so I can't play.

Graphically this game is a stunner...
