Just announced at VGX. A Telltale approach to Gearbox's Borderlands universe.

I'd play Tales of the Gearbox Rape of the Alien Franchise

If they're going to do other games, I'd love to see their take on Fallout.

I'm intrigued. I'll wait for reviews but if it's good I'll play it.

I'm down. It'll be a good tweener until B3 hits.

Telltale Reveals First Tales From the Borderlands Screens

Telltale Games has revealed the first screenshots for Tales From the Borderlands, offering a first glimpse at The Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us developer's take on Pandora and the dark stories therein. Familiar faces include the likes of Zer0, while Handsome Jack, Angel, Moxxi, Tiny Tina, and of course, Claptrap may also feature in the ful game.

Obviously shooting will take a backseat in Tales From the Borderlands, but anything you loot during the game's narrative will be available for use in "other areas of the Borderlands franchise". Like Telltale's other recent output, the onus will be on an episodic story, with tough choices that shape the course of the narrative. The game plays out after the events of Borderlands 2, from the two different viewpoints of Hyperion employee Rhys and fast-talking con artist Fiona.

I think I'm officially on the "Don't Care" side. It's just not a compelling enough universe that I care to play this sort of game in.

Re: Tales From the Borderlands: An Episodic Game Series from Telltale Games

It does seem like an odd title to choose for this but I love borderlands and I love the other telltale games so I'm in.

This one I don't get, just put a story in with the already created engine and done. They have a name for it: DLC.

It'll be priced as much as or cheaper than DLC had Gearbox put it out themselves, so...

But the gameplay would remain the same, I'm assuming with this it's going more the adventure game route?

Correct, it'll be like every other Telltale game of the last few years.

Re: Tales From the Borderlands: An Episodic Game Series from Telltale Games

As far as the story elements of Borderlands, they were always thin and uninteresting, and the only things I appreciated were the humor elements. I don't think that's enough to sustain a game like this.

Re: Tales From the Borderlands: An Episodic Game Series from Telltale Games

I think it's safe to say that both the story and humor elements of this version will be beefed up, since that's all there is.

I'm still good with this as long as it's on next gen consoles. Screw the tweener/pre-sequel game on last gen machines.

The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones, and Tales From The Borderlands will all be released onto next-gen. Expect more information to come out of E3.

The question is if Game of Thrones and Tales From The Borderlands will be day-and-date on next-gen or if there will be a delay.

Definitely don't want. I could barely make it through the trailer. I am looking forward to AGoT though, and I am hoping to grab Walking Dead Season 2 during the Steam sale.

I guess I may buy it on my phone at some point. Their TWD and AWAU ports were great.
