Am I going to have to find that article again about inverted and regular? It has to do with whether the person thinks about controlling their eyes/viewpoint or whether they consider controlling their entire head for changing view in a FPS.

And yes, I am one of those inverted fools!

Think of it this way; if you had thumb-sticks attached to the top of your eyeballs (or the top of your head), which way would you have to pull/push the sticks in order to see up/down?

Yep, I noticed this as well. I also play FPSs inverted. Played way too much MS Flight Sim in my youth.

If I am controlling a flying vehicle from inside, then I am controlling it's nose. I think of the stick as vertical. Pushing forward tilts the nose down.

If I'm moving an object's position on a screen, then I think of the stick as horizontal. Pushing up makes the object go up. In the case of viewpoint, I'm pushing up on the screen.

I think there's a thread about inverted here. I'm trying to remember how I went the wrong way.

I always think of inverted like a camera mounted on a tripod. You move the controller in the way you'd move the handle of the mount -- up to tilt the camera down. I prefer non-inverted for gaming usually.

As long as it's reasonably priced (under $30 too much to hope?) and works on both the Blu-ray player and for apps like Netflix, I'll be happy. Hopefully it can control my cable box as well, but that's not a make or break for me.

All the Harmony Remotes work. The 650 is $60 at Amazon. It has been at $40 before according to camel camel camel.

I posted about it last week, but it doesn't show up when you search this thread for "remote" for whatever reason.

I'm down for a dedicate remote. (Gave my Harmony to a relative a few years back; my 9G Kuro takes forever to start up and be responsive, making the Harmony's macros basically useless.)

It's IR and requires the Kinect. Who the hell thought that was a good idea? What about the folks that have chosen to disconnect their Kinect?

I should clarify. It seems the remote will work with the One just like your controller does, but if you want to use it to control your TV, etc. as well then you need the Kinect hooked up as it uses the Kinect's IR blaster. Sorry about that.

Your controller doesn't need a direct, line-of-sight connection to your console. What I want to know is if the remote does or not.
