Gamestop is having $50 off Xbox Ones and a $50 gift card (online only) so I decided to upgrade my launch Xbox One for the White Xbox One S Battlefield 1 bundle. After selling off my old one and Battlefield 1 should only cost me around $50.

What exactly is happening to my controller when I turn on the Xbox One S and the button steadily blinks? I think it happens when I accidently press a button. The batteries are fine. I have to restart the Xbox for it to go away.

Trying to sync.
Mine is pissing me off. It takes 5-10 minutes of reboots and battery removals before they finally sync up. I think mine may be due to having the X1 in my Harmony programming. Just been too lazy to test it out.

This was posted on the Xbox Austria site apparently. Haven't seen an official thing from Major Nelson or Xbox stateside yet, but I assume we might see it announced soon.
Finally, Ryse!

Dumb question: any way to play original Xbox games on the Xbone? I thought some were made compatible with the 360, so maybe there's a way to play them on the current one?

Rare Replay includes the original Xbox game Grabbed by the Ghoulies, but they actually ported it to Xbox One by rewriting the code a little bit, which they said was relatively easy to do. Halo: The Master Chief Collection likewise includes a Halo 1 port. There may be some similar "HD Remasters" I'm not thinking of.
But in terms of the original discs, they're not playable on the XB1.
One big deterrent to adding this capability may be that the original Xbox multiplayer servers were all shut down.

Darksiders & AC: Revelations are both new to BC. Actually Darksiders is on my sell pile, disc wise. Man, I'm going to have a lot for the subdivision garage sale in April .

Official from Major Nelson now.

Xbox has had slim pickings the last few months while Sony's been killing it with exclusives (and even Nintendo has Zelda), but at least their Backwards Compatibility and Games with Gold offerings have been decent.
April #GamesWithGold starts off with Ryse: Son of Rome & Darksiders, followed by TWD: Season 2 & AC Revelations https://t.co/KtEkfXrj5a pic.twitter.com/VBkfpWuS65

Welp, Darksiders 1, 2 and Assassins Creed: Revelations are now BC per Major Nelson. Okay so I'm putting back both Darksiders 1,2 in my collection (both were in my sale pile)...darn you lol. By the way, for those who follow my BC site (in signature)...I'll update this after lunch.
EDIT: My Site is now updated with the current information.

Is anyone running into some really slow download speeds? I powered on my Xbox for the first time in over a week yesterday and started downloading a bunch of patches, but they were only downloading at a couple Mbps. It also looks like a new dashboard update came out yesterday, which it also didn't download and update

And for the record, I'm not a fan of the new dashboard update at all. I don't like the new functionality of the Xbox button and BEAM or whatever is a pile of crap. It's like Twitch had a bastard second cousin.
