Seems even though you start a party, you aren't by default IN the party. Once you invite, you have to turn Party Chat on and then you are a go. It's just a different setup than the 360 and it was throwing some early whiners off.

I'm awake!
So yesterday did a quick setup, in a temporary location, and everything worked fine.
Put a few games to download, including COD:Ghosts, and installed FIFA 14, I have the disc, I did more things, so it took almost 5 minutes or so, until I was able to start playing FIFA, you can play the demo game, but it's fine. When I finished the match, the game was ready to play. I went to bed and COD:Ghosts was 2% done or so. I woke up 5 hours later and it seems it's done. So far, at least in my case, no network problems with this release.
I also downloaded KI and Xbox Fitness, but those finished while I was playing FIFA/setting up things.
I also installed Hulu, Netflix, ESPN and NFL apps. Everything installed really fast. My surprise was that Hulu and Netflix already had my login credentials. I like the Netflix interface, it seems better than the old 360 one, although I haven't tried the new version.
I will move everything to my final location, bedroom it seems right now, and do the final setup. I haven't tested Kinect voice yet.

The little details. FIFA is a game where is harder to see the next gen, compared with the NBA game, for example, when you see them... One complain from these games, and it also applies to Madden I think, it's that the audience is lifeless. In the next gen version of FIFA you can actually see every person in the stands! Again, it's the little details. Players facial expressions and graphics are better too of course.

Apparently you can get a Day One edition from Best Buy online. It shows sold out in search results, but when you click on the item, you can add to cart and place an order.

I just went and picked up my Xbox One.........PDP Kinect mount. Seems solid. Don't have anything to hook it up to yet, though.

It's here! It's here!
But I have no game to play! At least I can set it up for a while and get it going before DR3 shows up.
