I get that, but I think you mean 2 and Warped. The first game hasn't really aged well, but the 2nd and third were actually really deep and varied platformers. Anyway, the point was that UC2 is IMO quite a bit better than TR, even if TR was a lot of fun.
That said, if TR had gone just a little bit further down the "Metroid" path that it was hinting at, or if they'd expanded just a bit on the tomb puzzles, I'd probably give it the nod. To me, it was fun but not quite fully fleshed out.
Hope the second one improves on those things...and that it's a timed exclusive.

Not sure if I ever played Warped. Definitely 1 & 2... I remember loving them. I need to find those and revisit them on my PS3.

Inaccurate. MS fans do not know where to procure sombreros, but they have fellows who can tell you which sombreros use the best... umm... sombrero material.

I saw this [elsewhere] but I don't have an account there, so wanted to share it here because it made me laugh:
Aside from the "made by Toshiba" bit, that's exactly what happened. Batman Begins was released exclusively on HD DVD in October 2006. By the time The Dark Knight came out on Blu-ray in December 2008, HD DVD was gone (as of January 2008), so anyone who had bought Batman Begins in 2006, 2007, or the first half of 2008... couldn't watch The Dark Knight at home... unless they bought a Blu-ray player.
I wonder if the person who posted the above actually knew all of that, or if it was just pure coincidence that they chose those movies to make a point about Tomb Raider.
Anyway, umm... Tomb Raider was fun. I need to finish my second run-through soon.
This is a SEQUEL.
It'd be like saying here everyone watch "Batman Begins"
Now you can only watch "The Dark Knight" if you buy a blu-ray player made by Toshiba.

On that note, what other franchises had a sequel go exclusive after previously being multi-platform?

Dead Rising 2 was on PS3.
Metal Gear Solid 4 was only on PS3 despite previous games in the series being on 360.

The sense of entitlement online is shocking. First of all, the movies/games argument is the ultimate apples/oranges concept. Video games have simply never operated like records or CDs or DVDs or VHS. Not this year. Not 5 years ago. Not 20 years ago. Never. This is nothing new. Secondly, here's where the similarity is appropriate: buying an HD-DVD that plays one movie with Christian Bale wearing a rubber bar suit is no promise or guarantee that you'll be able to buy every other instance of Christian Bale wearing a rubber bat suit on the same format. When it comes down to it the studios don't owe us any home video releases at all, they do it because we pay them to.
If you bought Batman Begins on HD-DVD you can still play it. The Blu-ray police didn't show up at anyone's door to confiscate HD-DVDs and their players. They got what they paid for, kinda like how all the people who played Tomb Raider on PS4 should have no problem playing it again and again on PS4 until the console and/or disc dies or breaks down or whatever.
When Microsoft pays a developer to remotely patch an existing game into an unplayable state you'll have something to gripe about. Now? You got nothing.

I brought that one up in another forum and was told that there was a huge outcry as well for that one. WTF? I dont remember it being nearly this bad though with the butthurt. I was also called a PR astroturfer (I had to google it) which confused me at first as my SN there was Power Rangers related. I could only respond by telling him I was Haim Saban.
