Yes, western world stuff. Not quirky little creatures that I don't want to see squiggling around the screen when I move the controller.

You might even get all of those in the same theme if you ask nicely.

10am? That seems odd to me. What's the point of that? Actually make this process less attractive to me considering I could go to Walmart as soon as I wake up and get a physical copy. Why make me wait?

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

The 10 AM games were some of the digital-only releases for the PLAY promotion (Hohokum and Counterspy) - the other two (Rogue Legacy and The Swapper) released at Midnight, as do all the retail titles since that new pre-loading feature was added.
Why those two digital titles waited until 10 I have no idea.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Quick question about Last of Us on PS4:

Is everything on the disk, or are there download codes for some content?

A buddy at work has a copy and was about to trade it in...said he'd take $25 for it...just want to make sure everything is on the disk.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Looking through my transaction history, there were 4 pre-order bonuses I redeemed:

The Last Of Us™ Remastered - BONUS ELLIE SKIN (SP) (1)
The Last of Us™ Remastered 100 Supply Points (1)
The Last Of Us™ Remastered - Bonus Joel Skin (SP) (1)
The Last Of Us™ Remastered - Single Player Upgrades (1)
...but that's it. Everything else is on the disc itself, including what was originally released as DLC for the PS3 version.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Reviews for Velocity 2x are trickling in. Looks like it's going to be really good. Seeing a range of 8-10.

Maybe the best PS4 freebie since Resogun? Fez is probably up there too, but it wasn't exactly new.

Anyway, loved the first game and can't wait to check it out!

It's really a high-profile freebie, especially since it's being given away at launch. They've got to be leaving a ton of money on the table there. Looking forward to trying a little tonight when I get home (even though I totally suck at playing the first one -- lightning-fast reflexes aren't exactly my specialty)

Longer and interesting discussion on SixthAxis, who gave it a 10.

Anecdotal, but this morning at my local Best Buy, they had 2 PS4s and zero Xb1s - PS4 fail!

The Sixth Axis - 10/10

Punk and Lizard - 10/10

Vita Lounge - 5/5

Push square - 10/10

Verge - The year’s best sci-fi game might be a 2D space shooter

Gaming Age - A

IGN - 9/10

Polygon - 9/10

Videogamer - 8/10

Eurogamer - 8/10

Edge magazine - 8/10

(disclaimer: snagged most of this from NeoGAF)

About every week or every other week Best Buy has been running some XO "specials" in the weekly deals forever. In fact if you go to their site they have "XO Specials" for this week. I haven't seen a single PS4 "Specials" ad in I don't know when. the monthly sales figures show the PS4 still kicking butt. In fact look at the sales of Diablo III-Reaper of Souls....the PS4 version accounted for nearly 50% of the sales

It is a crapshoot. I had a friend who dealt in bootleg jerseys. They came with official tags, but you could tell they weren't the official jerseys if you knew what to look for. The cuts were slightly off, or the fits weren't the same as an official jersey. However most people were happy paying 50-70 bucks for an "almost official" jersey.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Best as I can tell, my PlayStation 4 automatically downloaded the paid stand-alone DLC for both Killzone Shadowfall and Infamous Second Son despite the fact that I never bought either one and I can't seem to figure a way to delete the content without uninstalling the game. Just noticed the content in my Game Library tab (not in the XMB since obviously they haven't been played). Cheeky little machine.

I'm confused, are they making you pay to access that content (and thus you have something you don't want taking up space on your hard drive), did they charge you without your consent, or did you just wind up with a bunch of free DLC?

If it's one of the first two, I'd be pissed. If it's the third, partay!

if you go to Notifications >>> Downloads >>> Options button >>> Delete
will that delete the content or is that just deleting it from the download "listing"?

It's the first one. I can't say for sure that all the content is there since I can't pull up any information on the files, but among my 51 games listed in Library is Infamous Second Light and Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept -- next to, but separate from, the actual games I already own. Can't tell if they're actually downloaded as pressing Option button does nothing and pressing X just brings you to the purchase screen in the PSN store.

There isn't even a notification that those Stand-alone DLC games were downloaded or that their related game files were updated.

Does anyone else still have Infamous or Killzone on their PS4? Do you see the same thing in your Library?

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Wasn't that one of Sony's bullet points about the PS4 when it was originally revealed? That it would choose content based on your play history and download it automatically to your machine. That's what it sounds like it's doing, but if you've never played either game, it doesn't seem to be working very well

Decker, I have Infamous installed and I also see Second Light in my Library. When I click on it, it takes me to the store. I think they are sneaking in advertising for the DLC. I do not think they gave it to us for "free" though it would be nice!

I seem to remember that happened to me with the Destiny Beta. It still needed to download though, just a link to the store.
