I just tried NBA2k14 before my controller died. Man, it looks awesome. Even my wife was impressed. Looking forward to getting an online game going.

I was able to redeem my 30 day trial code without any issues. It added another month to my existing PS+ sub.

I just stopped at a Family Video on our way home and to my shock they did have PS4 games to rent. I picked out Need for Speed and Knack. I am not a member, never rented things there only bought used BDs, and they told me new members must put a $20 deposit down for each game rented. I didn't do it, blah.

The young 18 year old guy who was talking to me dropped a "oh man, I want to be just like you when I grow up" after talking to me and learning I have a PS4, some games, big TV, etc... Made me feel a hundred years old.

I didn't even bother signing up, no. I was in there looking for so long, talking to the guy, and then was told that at the end. He didn't know I wasn't a member, I'm not mad at him or anything, but it did tick me off though. So much so that I didn't even bother with it at all.

I took a duplicate copy of Killzone back to the store tonight and I had hoped to swap it out for a camera. They didn't have any and I couldn't find anyone to unlock the controllers so I just got a few blu-rays instead. Sucks since I wanted to try Playroom but now I can try out Man of Steel on my PS4.

Tried all 3 F2P games today. Each one is about what I expected. Of the three, Warframe seems to hold the most promise.

Yeah, Blacklight looks and controls fine, but it's been hard to log in, and I can't picture me playing it instead of Battlefield or Killzone. And I didn't even bother downloading DCUO.

But Warframe is pretty cool once you muscle through the initial "what the hell is going on" phase. What's going on is that it's a coop Space Ninja dungeon crawler with some light crafting, and it's pretty fun. In case folks haven't figured it out, Warframe has its own friends list separate from your PSN friends. And thanks to flashburn for the tip earlier. I probably would have spent my last 50 platinum on something stupid. Now to figure out whether I have those things equipped...

Of the PS Plus games, Resogun is an instant classic for me, and I played through Contrast tonight as well. Contrast didn't deserve the reviews it got IMO. Sure it's low-fi and janky, but it wasn't made to show off or sell the system, and it's dumb to review it that way. It's an artsy little indie game with some clever puzzles, and I ended up enjoying it quite a bit.

Pretty happy with the Blu-ray playback on the system. I wish they had a proper remote out at launch. The system made a few minor sounds booting up the disc but during the movie this thing is a huge improvement over the decibel level of the PS3.

Has anyone been able to get the friends activity screen to work? it's always blank on mine. And also, the game info screen that has videos and screenshots and stuff doesnt come up either.

I think the smashing PS4 (or any new system) videos are staged. Either that, or these people buy the systems, and know they can upload to youtube and have a ton of hits and make enough to buy another system and then some.

How are they getting them before anyone else?

Lots of people got the PS4 on Thursday, just look back in the pre-release thread.

I think its clear that these guys end up making enough money to cover their losses, and perhaps turn a profit. That to me is the saddest part of the whole thing. Well, that and the people that could be enjoying those systems if those morons hadn't ruined them.

Oh man, forget about the graphics on 2k, the gameplay is what impresses me the most. It is sooooo much smoother than last gen. You don't slide around like you are on roller skates anymore.

Warframe is pretty sick. My only complaint really is the camera and the melee combat being nearly impossible. The game just needs some polish.

To equip the Orokin Reactor/Catalyst go to the upgrade screen for your Warframe or weapon, and then press R2. If you've already spent all your platinum, I'd suggest just buying a small amount to get the Orokin items, going without them sucks. As a refresher for others, they double the amount of skill points available to use for that specific Warframe/weapon.

Is there a Warframe thread? We should probably just post in there if so.

For those that tried your PS+ 30-day trial code and got an error message, try again.

I just put in my code and got the 30 days added to my account. I'm good til July now!

On the bad side, while my PS4 games finally shipped today, they shipped out of Tennessee. UGH. I'm not scheduled to receive them until next Saturday. Double UGH.

Maybe I should have paid for the 2 day shipping afterall. I wonder if it's because of the micro USB cables I ordered, I mean you'd figure they had the games at all their distribution centers.
