sort of, they added it with a firmware last year, although no one seems to know/remember that. I think you have to use an external hard-drive, but it avoids all the re-downloading.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

One of the most stupid things now is that I have to confirm my purchases with my credit card every time I log into my PS4 or PS3. What I mean, is that if I download something on the PS4 (even if it is free) and then go on the PS3 and want to download something free, I have to punch in the expiration date and security code for my credit card during the downloading part.

Hmmm. I'm not sure if it's just a setting I'm using or something, but I don't have to do that.

Me neither. It must be a setting.

Sony hasn't had my Credit Card information since their security breach years ago.

I use Paypal through the PS4 now. Easier to checkout and should be more secure.

Okay, update. Hulu will work to select a program, but it won't pause or FF or REW (yet). Nothing works for Vudu unfortunately. Netflix works perfectly.

Godzilla is 20 bucks pre GCU at Best Buy.

Yep, I almost pulled the trigger at $16, but figured it might be a PS+ freebie sometime, and even if not, I got tons of games to play already.

They have a policy of not making previously released duds PS Plus freebies. So while you might get it cheap on PSN Sale sometime, it'll never be a freebie.

Unless they have already announced a PS+ freebie version even after delaying it for a year flub/dud?

Thanks. I guess I will wait and see if/when they fix it for Hulu. Not being fully functional in Hulu is a deal breaker for me.

I got in my PS4 for the first time in two days and it didn't automatically sign me in. It made me go through a bunch of settings about friends and stuff and then verify my email. What is up with that? Has that happened to anyone else? Is something going on?

Yeah, I had to do that a few days ago as well. They updated some of their privacy settings about real name use and who can view your friends list and whatnot.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Thanks for the heads up but I won't be able to get it since Paypal is involved. Years ago we use to buy on Ebay and someone, somehow was able to hack our Paypal account, used a older Credit Card to buy over $800 worth of crap and have it sent to California...we live in Tennessee...and Paypal had no answers or explanation. So we said bye to them and Ebay....

But I did see the same deal in the daily Deals on IGN which also had a deal from Amazon on getting a $5.00 Gift Card when you pre-order Jurassic World BR which I did so I'll have two gift cards to use on Amazon if need to.

Picked up that PDP remote today. Haven't watched a movie with it yet, but just fiddling through menus and stuff with it, I love, love, love it.

Okay, it is kind of weird to have to press the PS button on the remote to be able to pause or whatever. Never had to do that with the PS3 remote. Usually the remote stays active while I'm watching a movie, but it seems to have a timeout where you have to press PS to wake it back up.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Hold down the PS button until you get the Quick Menu, then go to Adjust Sound and Devices and check the setting for Set Time Until Controllers Turn Off. I guess the remote uses the same power save settings as the regular controllers use. I don't like that if it's the case, but I guess I don't really need the regular controllers to turn off on their own.

I don't have that issue, AFAIK.
Using the remote with NFL Sunday ticket app is glorious.

edit : Actually I guess I do have that issue, even if you set your controllers to never sleep. Still it's an easy fix to press the PS button. Wonder if they'll fix that with an update.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Does the PDP remote connect through bluetooth automatically to the PS4 or does it need a dongle like the PS2 remote control?

Directly. You air it just like a controller. There's a remote icon just like the controller and headset icons in the upper left corner of the screen.

Thanks for the response! I was disappointed when I read earlier in this thread that the remote included a necessary adapter to connect it to the PS4.

The PDP remote is getting terrible reviews on Amazon. It is currently at a 2.7/5 rating. Sounds like a dud.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

All the terrible reviews are about two things :
1) It doesn't work correctly with Hulu. This will be fixed eventually.
2) It doesn't control the volume of the receiver, only the TV. While this is stupid, I wasn't using it as a Universal remote anyway.

As a Media Remote for PS4, it works. That's all I wanted (well, it will be once it works correctly with Hulu and Vudu).
