I have no clue about Dynasty Warriors. Need to look into that. Leaning towards getting Guity Gear Xrd for $24. I like fighting games and this looks like a good one. I also kind of want Geometry Wars 3, but think I'll buy that on the One since the real aficionados of that game from this site (Liver & Onions, pixy) play it on that system (not that I'll ever come close to them on the leaderboards) and it's essentially the same price on both systems,

I think for sure I'll grab Lara Croft at $11.00. I have a $5.00 credit and that makes it even better. Seems like a good all-around game and with co-op. Probably pass on Dynasty Warriors as much as it pains me...I have The Order coming, still have Far Cy 4, back in Warframe and haven't touched First Light yet.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I know it was posted months ago... does anyone have a quick link (ebay) to those XONE sticks to put in your DS4? The rubber on both by controllers is pretty much crap at this point. I figure now would be the perfect time to switch them out.

I searched ebay myself, but there seems to be a lot of options for switching out the sticks. I'm not sure which were the ones that people on here used and recommended.

I believe it's these.....

http://www.amazon.com/2-Pack-Control...s4+thumbsticks

There are also the normal PS4 ones but metal in various colors as well. I may end up going with the Xbox sticks or either metal later on. I'm on my second set of "Grip-its" for one side. Maybe just a bit of advice....I ordered a set of (5) L&R Triggers that was like $15. I had one break where one of the pins on the side broke off and the trigger was sticking. It was the right one and in Destiny I would just start shooting endlessly. Just something to think about, far cheaper than another controller.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

They're all about the same meat...at least if you get the OEM looking plastic ones from China. Mine have held up extremely well.

Note that they aren't the "perfect fit" everyone says they are. The male stick that goes into the bottom of the thumbsticks is shaped sort of like a rectangle with the narrow ends at north and south, and that rectangle is the tiniest bit too short and the sticks wiggle a bit.
  1. Cut a very thin strip of electrical tape. Cut along the width of a standard roll of electrical tape, which will make it the perfect length, and cut it just a bit less wide that that male end on the DS4.
  2. Place that strip over the top of and along the North and South ends of the male part of the DS4 (hope that makes sense)
  3. When you slide the XO stick on, it will be very snug (have to push a bit) and will sit just a tiny bit higher than it would otherwise (both good things).

Otherwise, just follow any of several youtube videos for the process.

Picked up Tomb Raider on the $14 sale. Got me with the price, since I already have it on PS3 from PS+.

That thing where you buy on the website and set it up to download remotely is pretty cool.

So I got a second PS4, and assumed that the account setup was going to be the same as the PS3. Is there a way for my daughter to share my digital content like she does with our PS3s? Even reading the help pages aren't making it very clear whether this can be done.

I got a couple myself earlier this past weekend. Remember that if you spend $100 in the PSN store between last Tuesday and tomorrow you'll automatically get $15 back on 3/2/15. Unfortunately I couldn't find enough to spend it on (and how idiotic is it that you can't pre-order Borderlands Handsome Collection -- one of the only games I'd have no qualms about pre-ordering).

I also bought two and then purchased GTA 5, Diablo III, and Tomb Raider for the PS4, so I'm eligible for the $15 back.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I don't have PS+, so I'm thinking of spending the $100 on two years of that - would that qualify me for the $15 back, or do I have to buy games with it?

If you put your profile on her PS4 and make it your primary system, she should be able to use your stuff while she is logged in. The downside is that you will always need to be logged in on your PS4. When PSN is down, her PS4 will have access to your stuff. Your PS4 won't.

Okay, yeah, I guess this will have to do. I will have a few physical games (like the GTAV pack-in) that I can play when the network goes down. I guess this new limitation was something that slipped under my radar.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Amazon has a really good deal for a PS4 going on right now....

Buy a PS4 and get Infamous: Second Son, Killzone: Shadowfall and The Last of Us included...at $399.00

Also if anyone ever thought of getting Diablo: Reaper of Souls, Best Buy's Flyer today shows it at $29.00 which is actually a pretty good deal.

Wired Sony Playstation Silver Headset for $34 at Amazon (though a third-party seller). If the cost of the wireless ones are prohibitive (or if you forget to charge them sometimes) I think this is a hell of a deal

I really think plugging into the controller is the way to go, and yeah, this is a great deal.

Also, Helldivers is coming out to solid reviews:

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1ertzrPZkJs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/C85T3t567Rw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It looks sort of like Destiny, if Destiny was an overhead twin-stick shooter, and if it was more community-based and customizable like Warframe, and if it didn't suck.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

HBO GO available on PS4 today
(functionallity) YMMV depending on your carrier or the carrier you are stealing credentials for

We know you’ve been looking forward to this day. We are excited to announce that the HBO GO app for PS4 will be ready to download later today.
The app functions just like the PS3 version. After you authenticate your PS4 with your current cable/satellite service through HBOGO.com/activate, you’ll be able to watch every episode of every season of HBO’s best shows, including True Detective, Silicon Valley and Game of Thrones. Speaking of Game of Thrones, with the season 5 premiere airing on April 12th, you’ve got more than a month to get caught up on the first four amazing seasons.

I wouldn't mind getting helldivers one bit but about every trailer and in game footage of the game shows four players and it's no cakewalk. in fact I believe the Devs picked the name Helldivers for that very reason. If some are on board and want to give it a go fine I'm in.
