They really need to stop working on so many games simultaneously. A four-month gap between episodes is insane… at this rate, the thing won't be finished until this time next year.

I assume they have different teams for each project, but yeah the delay is pretty bad. I hope they speed things up after episode 2.

Yes, but I would guess they have dispersed the best members of their original core team among teams of new developers, slowing development across the board while everyone figures out what they're doing.

Finished it tonight. Pretty short, about an hour and a half. Not a bad episode, it sure does touch on some more adult and creepier themes. Not sure if the PC version is wonky and buggy, but it didn't show all my choices at the end, just a link to the telltale site.



EDIT: My choices show up loading up the game again. Here's my results:

Seems like us 360 season pass guys got screwed. The season pass ain't registering that we bought the pass but it shows on the download screen that we have. Ugh. I want to play now goddamnit.

yeah, they've issued a statement saying they are trying to get microsoft to fix it and in should be shortly.

I'm not going to completely go off like the thousands responding on TellTale's forum, but this is a little ridiculous. A couple points....
It makes a case for not buying season passes if this can happen. The fact that I already spent money on a service that isn't working makes it worse. I would have just been better off to buy each episode as it comes available.
Also, this has been a problem for well over 24 hours and still not fixed. Yet both TellTale and Microsoft say they are working on it around the clock. Yeah right. I guess it shows what can happen when we don't own physical copies of games.
Anyway, I got other games and other things to do in life so I'm not dying to play it, but the fact that I paid for something I can't even use is a concern. I have a season pass to Walking Dead, wonder how that's going to go?

Finished it. Really enjoying this game so far. Hope episode 3 doesn't take 3 months to come out.

Ended up breaking down and getting it (I knew I would). Anyhow, no spoilers but all my decision except the second one went with the majority of players this time around. It was short; but very good in the story development department. My only two gripes are that I experienced the usual Telltale engine jagginess (I'm playing on PS3) and that it took so long to come out. Bring on episode 3 and a physical release!

God I hate the Telltale jank. It ruins the flow of a good narrative when you can tell the game is choking.

burned through the 2 episodes the past 2 days. damn, this is good shit. tons of slowdown on the xbox360. the one thing i hate, which i don't think they did with walking dead season 1, is making you go back to replay parts to get all the achievements that's sort of bullshit. that complaint aside, i really enjoy these.

Yeah the slowdown is pretty ridiculous on this and TWD as well, during cinematics. Episode 2 even froze up at one point and I had to restart the PS3.
