Multiplayer only? Reminds me of Brink...looked cool in trailers, but no campaign mode. Single player was with AI bots. I'm still interested, but my interest has died down considerably.

Huh, I thought everyone knew it was multiplayer already from the initial announcement, or the leak that came a few days before E3.

Sucks for people that aren't interested, but I think it looks ridiculously fun and from the articles out there they seem to be putting in some more cinematic elements that give it some sort of story rather then just a straight up multiplayer arena.

Waiting in line for the demo sucked ass on Weds (they kept letting press in droves while maybe 7 - 8 from the standing line), but once in there.. holy fuck! They have no idea on how large the teams will be for multiplayer when I asked. It really has a feel like parts CoD and Halo but with District 9 mechs.

Looks pretty fun. I don't care about there being no single player as I barely touched them in CoD anyway.

I'm just not sure I want to spend $500 on a new system for one game.

I like the overall concept and the footage is more than interesting. I know some friends who first saw this thought it could be the next Gears for the Xbox but they too had doubts after it was known it's MP only. Still..depending on how this is pushed and developed it could be Xbox's "Planetside 2" offering something a bit different than the traditional war games like BF and COD in MP.

It seems like they've got some sweetheart deal to make this a timed exclusive. EA was dancing around the question, but responses make me think this will be coming to PS4 after a while (maybe a year). It looks like a really cool game, but it's not going to be the game that convinces me I need a XO as well.

A multiplayer-only game that I really enjoyed was MAG on the PS3.
If Titanfall is like that, with the ability to have massive teams as well as smaller teams with specific goals, in addition to straightforward deathmatch games, I'm in.

Since it's been mentioned in the other threads:

• Microsoft has given Respawn carte blanche in terms of dedicated servers, cloud computing, and whatever else might be in store for the Xbox One release of the game. Respawn will have to work on all of that functionality themselves in regards to the PC release of the game.
• The 360 release will be ported over to the console from another developer with the support of Respawn. No word on who that developer will be, but I would bet it's one already associated with Electronic Arts.
• While I don't doubt the game coming to other platforms like the PS4 as this is still EA we're talking about (the rumor is a year or even further out), don't bet on it anytime soon. Respawn is focused specifically on the XO and PC variations of the game. Hell, this might be the first Source engine game not to be sold on Steam.

If the game is a hit and Respawn makes a sequel, maybe the Source 2 engine will be out by then...

And the more I see of this game, the more I love it. I've been wanting a faster paced shooter like this for awhile; I still feel like nothing has touched the old Quake/Unreal multiplayer games.

I really think this (or at least its sequel) is going to be a system seller, as long as MS maintains exclusivity on the franchise for as long as possible. I grew tired of the CoD games, and never tried Battlefield, but this looks like it's on a whole new level. I'm excited to jump in a mech and rip guys out of other mechs.
