Seemed simple enough to squish 30 zombies. I was spawning other creatures at the time, but I figured I could get that many by visiting other towns. Nope, those didn't count. Fortunately I was able to finish my campfire upgrade, and the next phase required zombies, but if I hadn't, I probably would've switched to them for one cycle. It seems worth it to be sure to hit the House of Evil goals because I'm in good shape on the campfires.
strange, they counted for me and I was able to finish that task by visiting neighbors.

Counted for me, too. When the House of Evil challenges started the other day, I figured I was SOL since 4-5 days a week I work 10 hours without access to my phone. (They aren't allowed in the building.) I was relieved to see that each challenge stays open until it's finished, not closing after 24 hours runs out. That gives me a chance to complete them all.

Now I just wish they'd fix a glitch a couple of glitches. The first is that Comic Book Guy lists the 12 hour task for staying in the Bad Dream House first, even though I completed that questline long ago. Also, whenever I go to the stage (I forget its name) to assign a long task, my game freezes up and I have to restart it. I like to see Hans Moleman get hit in the crotch with a football, dammit!

I am never gonna make it to that Act I final prize. Is anybody close to that thing?

I'm about 2,000 away, but there are still 5 days left. It should be pretty easy.

david777, the zombies only counted if you got brains from them, which you only get from visiting your first 30 neighbors (I believe). After that they wouldn't count toward the challenge.

According to tstoaddicts, you should be at 5712 s'mores by the end of the day to be on track. That builds in a 24-hour cushion. What are you at?

I'm 1700 away so I should get there too.

Ah, that makes sense, thanks. I did go through a number of towns before I found zombies and apparently shouldn't have bothered to tap the bunnies etc. while there. But I got it anyway.

the number needed for each prize resets after you obtain it. So starseed1981 may have 6146 total but he is at 1111 out of the 4k something that is needed for the last prize. Not that I am complaining but it seems that EA has been relatively generous with the donuts recently.

That's what I was guessing. I was going to drop some monsters on starseed, but waited to discuss the issue, and now someone's beaten me to it.

Let me know if anyone needs monsters as I have a few stacked up.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'm saving up my resources for Act 2. I have one of everything and 2 of the spooky house. I crafted one for this even and had one from a previous year.

I have my campfire up to level 8 and halfway to level 9.

I have about 1250 s'mores now. I think I'm on track for the final act 1 prize, but I'm, not sure.

Yeah -- the calendar is keyed to the number in the lower left, which is your running total. The number in the event interface resets after every prize. If you've already got the donut lady, you're almost certainly on track.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Small update today that fixed/improved the spawning of skeletons/zombies/snakes/bunnies. Also there is a small quest with Apu and 2 donut items: 1. tree log that spawns snakes 2. Mausoleum that spawns skeletons or zombies. Don't remember exactly.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

One nice thing about the shopkeeper challenge, is that you don't have to get the challenge done that day, just by the end of the 5 day cycle. My first challenge was read 4 stories at the fire, since I worked that day I was unable to do 4 different stories, but over 5 days I did it and received credit for it.

It's a tie in with this weekend's episode - we get TWO Halloween episodes this year, with this one being canon (if that word could be applied to The Simpsons) - and there'll be a building that unlocks later on in Apu's quest.

This morning I completed the last of this week's Shopkeeper's quests *and* got the Gate to Nowhere! I can breathe a little easier for the next few days. (Good thing because I am working then.)

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I unlocked the gate to nowhere but was disappointed that there was no donut bonus afterward.

So in Act II, the smores will change to a different currency, but the monsters and everything else will stay the same?

The house of evil has reset for the week, even though act ii and the real-estate stuff flips tonight.

I've upgraded the campfire to level 16 but am starting to wonder if there's any point. The hedges and sheds appear to be useless. I guess the nightmares generate faster, but that only serves to further upgrade the campfire or to craft items, which so far also appear to be mostly useless.

Kodos was in the crafting menu! Also the wailing wall, which generates $ and XP.

I was awake at 12:55 and figured I wouldn't assign any characters so I could start the real-estate and Act 2 tasks at 1 a.m. I did throw Millhouse on a 45-second task that had been lingering for a while.

Of course I woke up this morning with all my characters wandering around.

I'm swamped! LOL!

I'm too OC to have 6 pending tasks right now. Plus the tasks I'm working, leveling up, that's secondary right now, and getting the monorail tracks.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Don't understand why with so many characters to use, the developers insist on using the same characters for 3 different tasks at the same time. I mean, the whole EverTerror Place, Adult Kwik-E-Mart and the Krusty Burger need Homer to complete the 2 hour tasks instead of involving other regular characters like Moe, Wiggum, etc.

Exactly, and they're all the characters who do the real-estate tasks as well. I was excited to see three different tasks involving five adult characters each, but I couldn't even start some of them because all the characters were already being used. Meanwhile there are 11 billion other characters I have to assign to generic tasks, but I can't put them on long tasks either just in case they're needed for the next quest line.

And this is based on last week's episode, where many of the characters were part of the Adult Halloween. They could use this to have new skins for different characters and use them for these Adult Party tasks.

Speaking of assigning characters to generic tasks, the unemployment office is back!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've got two friends who could really use more friends guys:

skoorbclon57
ClarkeClark

They'd appreciate any and all invites.

I'm coming along great on the event. I got all the first act prizes, I'm within 100 gummies of Clockwork Bart, got all three building costumes made and I finished my Kang and Kodos set! So glad they let us craft her this year.

Hooray!!! This is truly a time save because with over 150 characters, it takes me at least 15-30 minutes to put everyone in tasks.

Just got Clockwork Orange Bart. We also got an update that gave us a very large pond that is giving Homer (of course) donuts and it seems that it will bring Marge's dad to the game. I'm still on part 3 though, so will see the end result in the morning.
