Fucking Bungie - FIX YOUR SHIT!
The update for me says 1.17, when it should be 2.01, right?
Also, it won't download - the download bar just sits there, not filling up.
What the shit!
Also, in-game currency, that you can buy with real-world cash? Fuck you!

Also, the prep time for the download take a long time, but the actual download time is short, just have to get past the prepare to download part. Check the download in your notifications.

OK folks, here we go with the Xur Report, brought to you by the Daggers Of Destiny. The Daggers are an elite fighting squad within the Destiny community, having been responsible for the deaths of Atheon, Crota, Skolas and just a few hours ago, Oryx, Dad Of Crota. The Daggers are always looking for new members who can handle their general deuchebaggery. If you think you have what it takes, join the Daggers today!
Xur offers an interesting selection of items this week, and for me, a welcome break from the massive engram purchases I've made the last couple weeks. That's right folks, this week's he's got a weapon!
Xur is located in Center Tower, next to the Crucible Quartermaster.
For the Titan, it's the Year 2 version of No Backup Plans. Formally one of the lamest Exotics, these have been given a really nasty perk. Force Barrier now kicks in on Shotgun kills. Crazy. For those running a bubble, it means an overshield for Melee or Shotgun kills. These are now a viable Exotic.
For the Hunter, it's the Year 2 version of Don't Touch Me gauntlets. These were an amazing piece for the Crota raid. Still useful to get out of tight spots.
For the Warlock, it's The Stag helmet. This is The Taken King's sequel to The Ram. This one has a chance to spawn you with an overshield, and give you super fast charge for your Super if you're the last member of your team standing. Obviously this could be useful in Trials, and it does look badass.
The Weapon this week is The Hereafter Sniper Rifle. The main perk of this weapon is that it has a chance to blind enemies if you get a precision kill. It also will refund you ammo if you hit all 4 shots in the mag for precision kills. It also completes my Year 2 weapons (minus No Time To Explain, I'll have First Curse on Armsday).
The Legacy Engram this week is for Heavy Weapons...Again...Don't buy this.
Xur is also now offering a new item: Glass Needles. They cost 3 coins, 3 motes, and 1 Exotic Shard for a pack of 3 needles. The needles allow you to reforge your exotic armor, which I demonstrate in the video report.
Speaking of which, stay tuned for the video version, coming up next. The image up soon as well.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
I logged on this morning and picked up the Stag and Hereafter. I was afraid of running late for work, so I had my 5 year old daughter play the daily crucible for legendary marks while I got ready. I'm sure my teammates loved that match

Glad you enjoyed!
As for me, I tested the glass needles a bit more.
1) Progress is not restarted like it was on reforging weapons. Filled in circles just change.
2) Some perks are burned in to gear. They will not change, such as Praxic Fire giving extra armor for a Solar Subclass.
3) Someone take away my fucking needles before I run out of coins...

I could not stop laughing and I'm in the middle of a Starbucks on base with my headphones in... got a few strange looks. "People died waiting for the ambulance..." haha

Re: Bungie - Destiny
I still like Destiny but I'm almost done with the taken king and I'm burnt the F out. I think it's the most repetitive game I've ever played.
I honestly thought they would have changed the repetitiveness over anything else first but it's the one thing they kept the same.
I honestly don't know if I'll be able to finish TTK but I'm going to try.
Destiny has become like the band The Eagles for me, when I turn it on and start playing, I get a headache and a little sick to my stomach.

Bungie has noticed that no one is running the NF anymore (myself included)

Improvements to Nightfall rewards are coming tomorrow morning. To benefit this week, don't play it until the patch deploys at around 10AM.

I finally brought my titan to iron banner and have yet to figure out why the other team doesn't run like hell when a sunbreaker uses their super.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
as someone with 2,356 weapon parts that isn't going to get me to run the NF more often
without a doubt when I hear that clang I'm off to the races elsewhere but then again I try and do that when I hear any super being activated

This is interesting, a look at why the story is so dang bad in the game.

Two years ago, something went wrong. Destiny’s writing team, led by the well-respected Bungie veteran Joe Staten, had been working on the game for several years. They’d put together what they called the ‘supercut’—a two-hour video comprising the game’s cinematics and major story beats. In July, they showed it to the studio’s leadership. That’s when things went off the rails, according to six people who worked on Destiny. Senior staff at Bungie were unhappy with how the supercut had turned out. They decided it was too campy and linear, sources say, and they quickly decided to scrap Staten’s version of the story and start from scratch.
In the coming weeks, the development team would devise a totally new plot, overhauling Destiny and painstakingly stitching together the version that’d ultimately ship a year later, in September 2014. The seams showed.

In the summer of 2013, just over a year before Destiny came out, the story got a full reboot, according to six people who were there. Bungie ditched everything Joe Staten and his team had written, reworking Destiny’s entire structure as they scrapped plot threads, overhauled characters, and rewrote most of the dialogue. The decision was made against Staten’s wishes, sources say. Destiny project lead Jason Jones and the rest of senior leadership were unhappy with the writing team’s supercut, and their reaction was to scrap it all.

.....this also still doesn't let them off the hook on repetitiveness and the 80's like enemy swarm engine they appear to be using.
