Luckily for me I can probably buy this at a discount, so I'll probably give it a shot. Funny that I didn't bother before but now with the movie coming out and knowing this disappeared from shelves before I'm suddenly interested.

Glad I Leaptraded mine right before this annoucement. Very fun game though I really doubt the upgrade to the next console is worth the cost.

Re: Deadpool Game - Activision/High Moon Studios - 2013

It was a broken game at release, at least graphically. I wonder how much better it will look in this Next Gen version. I doubt it will be much better -- this isn't Metro which struggled to run on a 360 or a GTA V that pushed the system hard as it could, but had unrealized potential on the last-gen platforms. This game was only half-done at release and looked worse than many early 360 games.
I wouldn't be surprised if this were more of a Dishonored-like port.

Re: Deadpool Game - Activision/High Moon Studios - 2013

It's a weird situation that it's even coming out to begin with, because I thought Activision's license to the character had expired. I could see them wanting to have a game on the shelves when the movie comes out, but I'm not sure how that works out, especially when Activision would likely have to get permission from Disney to put it out, and we all know that Disney isn't usually in the business of helping Fox promote their Marvel branded films.

I missed the news that this was being re-released for One and PS4 until I saw it in stores today. Would have picked it up if it wasn't $50 as I know it'll drop in price.

It really isn't worth picking up on the next gen though. It was barely last gen average. Great stupid script but graphics and gameplay were poor for the time it was released. Saying that... buying it for 20 bucks kind of pushes how much this should be. But it's worth it for the twenty. 50? Fuck that.

I never owned it last gen so if it drops to $20 or below I'll probably get it eventually. I've heard that the graphics are better but it has some frame rate issues that it previously had.

I bought this for $15 through a company discount, I'm actually looking forward to playing it sometime over the holiday for some stupid fun.

That's a great price for the game. Gameplay could be much better but it's so much fun cuz of the stupid script.

Finished the entire game and played enough of the challenge mode in two days, to know a $6 rental was about the maximum value of the game. The final two chapters are obnoxious and lacking any real sense of fun.

Don't play it on ultra violence. The last level... jesus. Even on the normal (veteran) setting it's cheap. But Ultra Violence? It's such a cheap gameplay insert of an event. I just beat that today cuz I was finishing out the achievements but holy fuck was that one annoying.

Re: Deadpool Game - Activision/High Moon Studios - 2013

Finished it today on XBox One. Decent time waster, I liked the humor and jokes for the most part and enjoyed all the characters. Gameplay wishes it was as smooth and fun as God of War but the animation was a lot choppier then it should be and the combos and weapons weren't nearly as fun as they could have been. A few moments were annoying where I died a lot, but never to the point of frustration.

Didn't regret playing it, especially leading up to the movie, but no real need to revisit it ever again or try the challenges.

Re: Deadpool Game - Activision/High Moon Studios - 2013

Public Service Announcement, this game is delisted as of tomorrow (Activision and licenses, the usual spiel). Physical copies will still work and previous digital purchases will still download...but just in case somebody waited four years to purchase this, well don't say I didn't warn you.

As such, I do own the 360 copy and because I did like this game quite a bit, I did snag a physical copy of the X1 version today for $12 shipped to my door. I know, it has lag issues and was a lazy port but call me curious to see the changes.

Finally it is on sale right now through Xbox Live, but after tomorrow it's outta here:

$11.99 Xbox 360: https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/P...5-d802415608ec

$12.50 Xbox One: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/stor...l/BW7DLWSNMWPZ

Re: Deadpool Game - Activision/High Moon Studios - 2013

Finished today (XboxOne)
Too bad another game wasn't released cause I had fun with this game. the whole game.

From 8 bit level to Sentinel boot to Missing arm to the awesome Lady Deadpool.

Yeah the last level was a bit of a stress

- Weapon switching sucks
- slowdown while achievements popping
