I played a fraction of what I did in 2018 so I can't really even vote. I spent most of my time in Spider-man.

I'd never even heard of this til it started appearing on multiple end of the year lists. It kinda makes me wish I had a better computer than my lowly Alienware i3 steambox haha.

For me, it's Death Stranding.

DE is not a graphical constraint for pretty much anyone. The game and it's presentation is very much old school point and click RPG. Phones could play this game easily. I'm sure your PC would be more than enough.

This is good to know but the game is very much one that benefits from using a mouse. Basically everything you do is point/click. Plus, I'd hate to have to read all the dialogue from a TV 5+ feet away, even if they make it larger.

And until now I didn't realize Outer Wild and The Outer Worlds were two different games.

I only played Days Gone on the list of games in the poll. I have RE2 and SW: Jedi Fallen Order but have not play them yet. I have abstained from voting because of that.

I really wanted to play Control and Seikiro but will wait when they are much cheaper.

Out of the games on the list, I had a chance to play Apex Legends, Gears 5, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Anthem, The Division 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Mortal Kombat 11, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Death Stranding, and Super Mario Maker 2. Almost all library rentals (thankfully since I bailed on a good chunk of them). Currently I would give my vote to A Plague Tale: Innocence, but want to play Control first since I've heard so many great things.

Didn't play nearly enough, and of that list I only played Mario Maker 2 and Jedi Fallen Order.

My issues with JFO are in the dedicated thread, and I haven't played MM2 enough to make a qualified vote. I don't actually care for making levels myself (my son does some), I prefer playing the other users levels. I manged to find some good, actual Mario style levels here and there, but they're hard to find among all the death trap and anime theme song presentations. I'd love a way to sort that stuff out.

What did I play? PokemonGo, every day at least one catch and one spin, also started an alternate account to help in raids.
Played a lot of Kingdom: Two Crowns with my wife. Looks simple, but really has a lot going on to keep you coming back for more.

I have only played The Outer Worlds and I voted for it. I usually wait until games are $29.99 $19.99 before I buy them. I'm usually six months behind everyone.

I think my GOTY is Call of Duty. It's grabbed me more than any other online FPS since the original Modern Warfare.

2019 was a weird year for games. There were a lot of good games, just not a real stand out winner (or winners) like previous years. Everyone seemed to be all over the place with their favorites, even the gaming outlets. Last year it was GoW vs RDR2 and we don't really have anything like that for this year. It would be funny if Luigi's Mansion 3 ended up winning the poll

Of the list, I’ve only played through Bloodstained, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Mario Maker 2, Control and Fallen Order. Honestly, all of them were great, but Fallen Order is my favorite. Damn fine game that is greatly elevated by its use of the IP.

Have a few in progress that like. Outer Worlds, RE2 remake, loving Borderlands 3. Really liked Fallen Order, but frustrating a little too much. MW single player way too short and way too forgettable. Right now I’d lean to OW because it’s making me like a true rpg. But, B3 is so damn fun, if not very light on side missions this time. Still like new enemies and always running and gunning with some really cool guns. Nothing really new to franchise, but more of same with some difference in locale. Tough right now...

I'm super disappointed I don't love Jedi Fallen Order. It's good, but not GOTY material.

My son did enjoy the hell out of Luigi's Mansion 3... so there's that.
