So, yawmush and I were talking last night during our game, who is planning on getting next years ncaa game?

I buy it every year, this year they are changing the passing and DB's again to keep up with Madden.

I'm planning on keeping this version for another year, but if everybody upgrades, I will too.

I am willing to buy the new version if we want to move up for the dynasty. I have had enough fun to balance the garbage to convince me to keep going.

The revenue sharing money is finally being put to visible use. Within the last three years they've built up their Dominican baseball academy and spent a ton of cash in the draft. For the 10-15 years prior to the new GM they drafted based on signability rather than talent. The culture finally is headed in the right direction and the young pitching in the system is very impressive. Once the Cole and Taillon classes make the bigs, this team should have a formidable presence.

The problem with everyone in this town is that if the team's not winning, the organization clearly is doing something wrong. Nobody takes into consideration the amount of time it takes to build up an entirely decrepit, mismanaged baseball club from the ground up. The A's and Brewers and Twins have been doing it the right way for decades. Fans can't expect anything to happen overnight.

The best day for Pirates baseball in the last ten years was when they signed McCutchen to a long-term deal. A legitimate star-caliber name wants to stay in Pittsburgh for the foreseeable future. This is a big deal.

I'll upgrade NCAAs if everyone else is upgrading. I don't really play games outside of our Dynasty.

Wow. Me and flhype were just having this conversation. I plan on buying it but I wasn't sure if everyone else was interested in picking it up so I wasn't going to force the issue. I would have no problem keeping a 12 dynasty going. If the changes they are making are significant I will pick up the new version. I know that between NCAA football and CoD I put in enough hours in both of those games to make a day one purchase worth it.

As of 10pm last night we were waiting on r2 and mcsmith to finish up their week.

I don't know what it is but my recruiting sucks this year. I think more of us are targeting the same players. I already know a couple of you have dipped into the fertile swamps of the bayou for recruits but even in other states I'm having a hard time chasing off other people. WTF!?

I've got a novel idea, this is a follow up to Cruz's thoughts. What if we had a maximum overall rating and prestige level that we could not surpass and all picked from this pool so we all had suck teams that would be poor at recruiting. Would that be too much of a drag?

Sounds like just about everyone is willing to buy 13.

I'm telling you, let's take over a conference and compete with each other over that championship. I don't care about bowl games, especially if you play the computer.

Are we talking about for the new one when it comes out. is this the main thing we've got going on or a side project (like a secondary dynasty?)?

If we do the conference, let's make it something like the Sun Belt or Conference USA. I still like being able to have a chance at winning some games. It would be *loads* of fun to be the team that is 1-10 or 0-12 each year. I don't know that I could commit to 2 leagues, I would think it would be with the new one, or something.

I too think we should take over a conference. maybe put all the team names from that conference in one hat and all the people playing in another hat and pull them to see who gets who.

How about we average together the final rankings for all 3 seasons of each player in this league, then give the worst player the best team year one and so on down?

So I gave the dynasty a thought last night and I came up with some parameters for which teams can be picked. We would default to the roster that I used to start the dynasty.
1. Your team must have a 2 star or less ranking.
2. Your team cannot come from an AQ conference (none of the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Big East, PAC 12, SEC)
3. Your team cannot have an overall rating of 80 or greater.
