Nuketown gets love because of the nonstop action. There is nowhere on the map that can't be completely overwhelmed or defended. It reminds me of the great small maps from other games. CoD4 had Shipment and Killhouse and MW2 had Rust that all had the same gameplay.

Part of the reason I love Nuketown is how fast you can get a match in. The fastest matches I've ever had were in Nuketown.

I love this map because you are guaranteed non-stop action no matter the game type.

Aftermath is about the only map that will cause me to bail out of a lobby. I have not found a game-type that is playable on it (for me).

Black Ops II Vengeance Map Pack Officially Announced

Who would have thought it? Turns out the rumours were true. Vengeance is the next map pack to hit Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

To accompany the announcement, Activision and Treyarch have released a trailer detailing to DLC. You can watch it below.

“Get your first look at ‘Vengeance,’ the third DLC Map Pack available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,” says the blurb.

“Vengeance includes four new Multiplayer maps: Cove, Detour, Rush, and Uplink, a reimagining of the classic map Summit. Also included is the brand new Zombies adventure Buried, which features the new bonus Zombies weapon, the Ray Gun Mark II.”

Vengeance hits Xbox LIVE on July 2nd. No price has been announced, but Blops II map packs are usually 1200 MSP, or free to Season Pass holders.

Are the first two map packs going to be half price over July 4 for PS3? Aren't they usually?

I think they usually throw all the map packs from previous games on sale for half off. I don't think the packs from the current game go on sale.

Hmm, I could have sworn in previous years the current game had half-off sales around July 4th. I read an article that said the 360 had the first two packs on sale last week, can anyone verify?

I love the paintball field map. Dominated every match I played on it.

Yep that's my favorite as well. I do not like Cove at all. Too many directions of fire. It may be good for Dom though. Uplink (Summit) had a lot of corner campers so make sure you run with grenades to clear the corners. My second favorite is the bridge (forgot the name ATM). IMO the best DLC they've put out for BLOPS2

Just picked this up to finally try multiplayer. Kind of bummed I did. Boy does it suck ass. I feel like I'm playing Halo.

So many maps from Black Ops that I loved and they chose to bring back the 4 of my 5 least wanted maps. They should give us a free remake of Hanoi just to finish off the list.

So far the Vengence Map Pack is the best Blops 2 Map pack. The Zombie mode is great and 3 of the 4 maps are really good. Cove, Rush, Uplink are all good. Uplink is a remake of Summit from Blops.

Yeah Summit was one of the five I didn't want brought back though I had a feeling it probably would be. It's not a bad map but I got more than enough of it in the original. It got played 10 times per session every session.

Detour, Rush and Uplink are my favorite maps. I'm so tired of Standoff and Hijacked and yet everyone still votes for them. I wish I could ban Aftermath from the playlist.

Interested to play the new maps that come out the 27th. I should finally Master Prestige since starting this game in April.

Ghosts looks good too.
