Balls, I don't bother with their Gamer Club since I don't buy that many games. I guess if I sign up now I would get back $5. Wish I ordered at NewEgg a little while ago, I missed a $15 credit by 2 days.

I'm looking forward to this. Haven't given the PS3 much work since Uncharted 3. Also, after the disappointing Bioshock Infinite, I'm ready to be sucked into a new game.

Just noticed that the Post Pandemic edition is back in stock at Gamestop. Maybe these won't be as limited as I thought.

Decent story. Graphically okay. Warmed over plasmids. Uninspiring gunplay. It could have been Game of the Year material... in 2008. I'm not saying its a bad game, just doesn't live up to the hype or Bioshock name, and felt very dated.

Bioshock is probably my favorite game this gen, so yeah, Infinite was disappointing, especially coming off the heels of the gorgeous an highly interactive Tomb Raider.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)

Hey to each his own, but Bioshock Infinite blew away Tomb Raider and I loved Tomb Raider.

Back on topic, though...

I might pick this up. I only own one PS3 game (The Show 13) and rarely play games on it unless it's old school PSOne games from the store. It looks too good to pass on. I've never played the Uncharted series either.

I had some credit left over from who knows when at Gamestop, so I pre-ordered this and Animal Crossing. I feel so dirty, but the credit's gotta get used somehow.

100% yes, could not have said it better myself! Tomb Raider is still GOTY for me so far, which is still surprising.

Tomb Raider is my GOTY so far as well. I will be surprised if any other game overtakes it.

Looking forward to this. Since my PS3 was only a 4 games Naughty Dog system, it is fitting it will be my last game as well.

Most of the reivews I looked at seem to think the violence is a little over the top. So much so that it takes you out of the game. Graphics looks great and I loved UC1 and UC2 but I think I'll be passing on this game. Polygon gave it a 7.5. In their review they showed a lot of broken AI issues, mostly collision problems between your character and the AI running into each other. Not sure if an issue like that can be patched but hopefully they can fix that.

Really? Maybe you should stick to E-rated games.

Redbox it before you dismiss it.

Even if it is a genre I do not like, any game that gets these kinds of scores deserves a chance to see if it will click.

I'm going to push myself to finish Tomb Raider before I dive into this one. Too many other things taking my time - must get back to the important things....like gaming!

I don't know why people think very highly of TR. It's not a bad game, but come on, even the first Uncharted game is better than TR (visually and story pace-wise). Already pre-ordered the regular edition of Last of Us from Best Buy (the SE is no longer available), I'll be picking it up on day one.

Huh... most of the reviews in posts above are 9.7 - 10.

Uncharted was a bit of an improvement over TR but far from perfect. It was more immersive than the recent TR games but the puzzles were a joke, the gunplay was lacking, and the emphasis on shooting galleries really detracted from the experience. The icing on the cake was the supernatural crap that just killed whatever momentum the story had going for it.

Uncharted 2 improved on all those things but still suffered from the same shooting galleries and extreme linearity. I know I'm in the minority, but I think U3 finally improved on all aspects and was the best of the bunch, but I'd still put TR over all three of them.

Anyway, I'm in the dark on tLoU(haven't watched any trailers, checked out reviews or media), so I don't have any expectations thus far.
