Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

I can agree with the last couple GTA's not being as fun to play. It did seem like they lost something with San Andreas and IV in my opinion. It seemed like there was almost too much to do and the game took itself too seriously and overall I didn't enjoy the stories as much (especially San Andreas). I finished both III and Vice City but gave up on San Andreas and IV about halfway through. I'm hoping the new game is more enjoyable. Saints Row I've never been very big on though as they seem like a knock off version of GTA. I will admit the new one looks kind of cool though.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

I was amazed they continued with the time settings for Vice City and San Andreas, but then regressed back into a modern Liberty City again which was dumb. They should exploit the true potential of a late 60s/early 70s era, ithe Bond cars, Bullitt, Scooby Doo van, when it was still cool without the square 50s t-bird era.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

Nice. So it'll be in California / San Andreas. Is that Tommy V who is narrating? I hope the foreclosure / tent city thing is a subplot. Would be nice to see Rockstar's take on what brought the economy down.

Oddly, San Andreas is the only modern-era GTA I never played.

I never said it was Ray Liotta, but the character in the suit who we only see in a half profile looks like an older Tommy Vercetti

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

It is funny all of the talk of them going to a foreign city and they just simply went back to L.A.

It's confirmed by Liotta's reps., that isn't his voice in the game.

I thought vinewood was in Vice City? Excellent, excellent, trailer - the game looks freakishly real.

Has anyone said that was playable footage or was that just cut scenes? Didn't look anything special to me if it was just cut scenes.

I promised to buy this on day 1 and not wait 3 and a half freaking years to finish it this time.
