Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I just drove around last night. I stole an "Inferno" (?) car and it handles really well. I had problems with driving with the first mission too, but after that driving has been great.

I think I'm getting bronze and silver when doing missions, no golds so far.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I was being chased by the cops, so I drove out into the beach. There were two hipster chicks sunbathing. When I approached them, they made some snide comment and tried to leave on their Jet-skis. I shot them and took their money.

Also, GTA V is pretty fun.

I found a hidden package.

There are 50 hidden shards of a letter that will reveal the mystery of Lenora Johnson's murder. I knew there was a trophy related to this, but now I know how you get it.

Take the tram to the top of Mt. Chiliad. You'll find it up there.

OTOH, it's still GTA, and none of the core gameplay mechanics are strong enough to stand alone (the shooting still sucks, the driving is fine but can't compare to an actual racing game, etc; ) It's sort of the same thing that plagued BioShock Infinite, which had a solid story and a cool world but had 15 year old game design.

Still, lot of personality, and it's a very detailed virtual world. You definitely see where the time and effort went.
I agree that when I started getting into the game last night I just got the feeling that I'm still playing the same GTA game as the past few iterations. Which I guess could be a good or bad thing depending on your take. That said I think it's going to come down to how fun the missions, including side missions, and story line is. And so far I'm having fun.

Playing fetch with Chop is pretty fun. Pedestrians don't react right away when you hit them in the face with the ball but they do get pretty pissed off soon afterwards and then Chop rips them to pieces

Chop hooking up with other dogs is pretty funny. Its like they thought of everything with this game.

Doesn't bode we'll for GTA Online.

Hopefully the two week delay is in part to help bolster the servers

I'm also in strong agreement with this. Very slippery and jerky. It's weird to explain, but the controls are both too sensitive and not sensitive enough, at the same time.

It's just a dangerous maneuver you can do in real life with a canopy, sharp turn near landing.

It was really bad in GTAIV. I popped it in the other day after playing SR3 and 4. The driving is almost broken. There is nothing about GTA4 that is worth going back. SR did everything better. Driving, shooting, melee combat, even the inerface are all better in the Saints Row series.

Were you using the right character? If it's green on the map, it's only for Franklin. Blue is for Michael, and I haven't unlocked Trevor yet so I'm not sure what his color is.

You have to save/upload them to the social club, and good luck getting that to go through right now

Different vehicles will handle/drive differently, that is what I have noticed.

Also noticed it was easy to lose the cops if you head for the water lol.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I just got to Michael's first missions. I don't have any major issues with the driving, but then again I didn't hate GTAIV's either.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Is there a better way to get weapons for free besides following around cops and waiting for one of the shooters to die and grabbing their gun? lol

The best part about the driving is cars can now flip back over!

Not sure on the question marks, but I know the friend that was marked was blue and I was approaching it with Michael. I'll have to check the others tonight.

Last night I had an issue where I was heading to a question mark (it was the correct color for the character I was using) and in the process of me travelling there I picked up 2 stars. After I shook the cops the question mark was gone from the map. I instead went to a different one on the map and then after that the original one was back on the map.

Edit:sauce07, you beat me to it

This game has some nice touches. Lamar told Franklin to get a haircut, so I got him a haircut. And Lamar noticed the next time we go together!
