What's the point of heads and skins in a first-person-shooter where you rarely, if ever, see your own character?

You see your character literally every time you open the menu.

I guess if you mostly play solo the heads and skins are kinda pointless, but if you play a lot of co-op you could show off your look to other people.

Thanks for the link. I thought I was on top of the codes, but I ended up being able to use all but the last.

Why would I care who other people see my character. The cool thing would be to change how the other players look to me, since I'm actually the one who can see them.

The skins are cool but would make a big difference in more of a 3rd person. But I'd trade two dozen skins for a increased level cap any day.

That has the potential to be pretty amusing. Change the other players into snowmen, Raggedy Ann dolls, babies, or anthropomorphic cockroaches.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Crap! I finally killed Terramorphous with my Lvl 50 mechromancer but when I tried to leave the area the game just stop loading. Figured my save game must be corrupted, I was pretty pissed since I have some good weapons and gears with me. I just made another character using the co-op split screen and just transfer the weapon and gear to the new character, so no total loss but still angry that I wasted many hours playing Gaige only to find I can't use her anymore. Take my advice and make sure you backup your saved character either with cloud save or usb device. I use the latter.

My co-op buddy decided they didn't really enjoy the game and quit. I have a varied group of characters to play with (lvl 9-17) so if anyone is starting a new character or just getting into the game let me know (360 gamer tag below).

Sorry to hear about the co-op "Buddy". Sorry to say we're a bit further ahead with a lowest level characters (Level 28/29). Doubt we'll start another since all of us have at least four characters. Myself, I have two Level 50's, one at 41 and the lowest at Level 29.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

This is a stupid question but I don't want to lose my save experimenting.

I finished the game and unlocked "True Vault Hunter Mode." I stopped playing and chose continue and it gave me the option for the new mode. I chose to continue playing my original game and started the Torque DLC.

I then decided to try the TVHM but when I choose continue it takes me back to Torque without the option for TVHM. What am I doing wrong?

Load your character in the main menu(Y button, I think). It'll give you the choice of which playthrough you want to do.

As Covin said. Do you have another character or just that one? With mine, whenever I change characters the option for choosing regular or TVHM comes up. You may try going to Santuary from Torgue and then quiting. I always made it a habit of going to Santuary before quitting

just one character. thanks, guys, it worked.

btw, K&A I sent you a friend request since your GT is listed. I don't play much mp online but just in case we're ever on at the same time. Don't expect much from me since I'm not good.

No problem and I'll acknowledge the FR. Being "good" at this is not the point...having fun and a few laughs is. This is Not COD MP where people get riled and throw temper-tanturns because they don't have good enough players to win. I much prefer co-op over MP for that very reason.

Just one small bit of advice providing you want to spend a lot of time playing BL2. If you ever want to play other characters try "laddering" them. In other words if you have one at say Level 25. Have the other at Level 12-15. That way you can move all the good guns, grenades & shields down to the next character without looking too hard.

Take advantage of the Bank Vault Glitch...where you can expand your slots. You''ll need them

Don't spend too much at the slot machines...they really don't drop that good of stuff. Maybe some things that will help in the early going but that's it.

Check the Gearbox Twitter & Facebook pages often. They'll post free codes for the Golden Keys and most of the time it's good stuff.

If you get stuck or need help on a mission...ask. Pretty much everyone here is good and helpful. BUT....and I'm sure most will agree...getting help to do something versus someone doing it for you is something else. Being a few levels ahead and helping is ok but having someone like 20-25 levels ahead is something else. Playing behind you is ok; playing ahead and wiping everything out and you along for the ride is to me a no-no.

[Maya Lvl 43] Finished up Hammerlock's DLC today [still on first play-through] and opened up one of the chest at the end and got a Level 35 Huntin' Striker 863x7 Fandir? Thirteen

HELP!

I just started the Hammerlock DLC today and I'm stuck. I'm in scylla's grove. I cannot for the life of me find out how to power up the lift that goes up to the Fast Travel station.

Hints?

New Borderlands 2 DLC Character and Level Cap Raise in the Offing?

A sixth character could be joining Borderlands 2's legion of Vault Hunters alongside more non-Season Pass DLC and a level cap raise, according to tweets from Gearbox Software head honcho Randy Pitchford in response to fans looking learn more about the game's next batch of content.

Asked about the possibility of a new Vault Hunter following the addition of Gaige, The Mechromancer, Pitchford replied, "Almost certainly yes. We're working on it."

A level cap rise has been on the cards for some time too, with many believing it would come with the third DLC, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt. While there's still no sign of a level cap rise at the moment, it could still be on the way soon.

"News as soon as we can," Pitchford told a Twitter follower regarding the level cap. "Sorry I can't offer more yet - I get skewered when things change in development, whatever the reason."

Quizzed about the level cap increase and sixth character once more, Pitchford also hinted at new DLC outside of the four-campaign Season Pass, stating: "we're working on new DLC for these things in addition [to] the campaign DLC offered in the season pass."

More Borderlands 2 DLC? Always a good thing.

A New Borderlands 2 Character Is Headed Our Way....March 8,2013

During a recent panel at the South by Southwest Interactive conference, Gearbox teased its next batch of Borderlands DLC, which will include a new playable character.

Fans have already started to speculate that this new character could be a melee-focused fighter similar to Brick from the first Borderlands. Polygon has a bootleg of the teaser, which is basically just a bunch of art with some text that reads: Deep beneath Pandora, an experiment has escaped. Bandits beware, a new Vault Hunter is coming. More mayhem awaits.

Gearbox has always done a great job with its Borderlands-based DLC, so we can't wait to hear more about this upcoming content.

While I like the idea of another character I still have two I haven't leveled up all the way (two are at Level 50), several side missions not completed and still haven't done Hammerlock. After playing the first BL I'm still a bit disappointed no level increase.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Downloaded the latest update and was hit with the badass reset again. Lost 40+ golden keys. Fuck-an-A, Gearbox needs to get their shit together.

My BAR is all fucked up now too. It gave me 201 points but it's still not enough. I had every attribute over 10%. After I respent the 201 points none are over 10%. I can tell in game too, that's what sucks. (10 are 8.7 or higher, 4 are below 4%)

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Don't feel bad.....last week I played and got the "update" and jumped in with some friends using Maya. We were fighting the Badass in Hamerlock. i was getting my as# handed to me every which possible and then realized all my points got re-set...again. Not only that my Mechromancer cannot use any of the Infinity Pistols. I have not checked my golden Keys (last looked at 18).

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Yeah, I was working through TVHM prior and doing fairly well(trying to get to 50). Loaded up after applying the 201 tokens and went down at least 6 times in the first area of the Wildlife Preserve. So yeah, my character's fucked up even with the tokens it did give me.

Lastly, when reapplying my tokens I decided to mostly skip "Recoil" thinking it didn't do much and apply my points elsewhere. Wrong! It's sitting at 1% and very noticeable from the 10.5% I had it at prior. Lesson learned.

Also secondary glitch? I was playing today and Maya sounded like a dude.

April 2nd is the raising of the level cap!

Unless you have the season pass, you have to pay $5 for that privilege.

New melee character named Krieg available in May. He has an axe. Also pearlescent weapons will now be in the game. New true vault hunter mode coming as well, meaning it'll scale enemies higher up on 3rd time around.

That's good to hear....I'll probably go between it and Gears. I still have a lot to do in hte game but have held back because of doing the missions adds XP and if it didn't count why do it?
