Re: first game you beat?
My first instinct was to say Super Mario Bros. for the NES, but then I remembered the Apple 2C. I played a lot on that. I don't think I played a game that I beat on the Atari. Anyway, my best guess would be King's Quest 2.

Re: first game you beat?
I don't beat many games so probably most memorable beatings are Tetris attack on SNES. I even beat bowser on the bonus levels and my brother and nephews were never able to beat me on this game either.
Next would be Tomb Raider for the pc. It was the first 3D Game that I really got into.

Zelda for NES was the first game I beat...with the aid of my older brother.
The bigger milestone for me is when I beat my brother in beating a game for the first time. That was Zelda: Link's Awakening for the Game Boy. That was just the beginning haha.

Super Mario, is the first I remember. I had an intellivision before that, and played it a ton, but don't recall "beating" anything per se (can you beat Utopia?).

I do not recall the sports and other games we had for the Magnavox Odyssey˛ playing to a final level so I will have to say...
Impossible Mission for C64
This is the first electronic game I won.

Zelda: A Link to the Past
I remember that it was the coolest thing ever when my brother beat the first Contra. Ah, to be 4 again.

I remember ti taking forever but Lode Runner on the Apple II was a game that I loved playing. Well over 100 levels on that bad boy.
And another vote for Adventure on the 2600

That game was ridiculously easy, wasn't it? I rented an SNES system since my mom wouldn't let me have both a Genesis and SNES
I beat it well before I had to return the system. I remember thinking "Was that really it?"
