Yeah....take THAT shotgunning sniper douche bag! :P
Don't forget my PSN message sent to you immediately that said in new Vader style "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" and your awesome reply. Yeah, that sucked. I was being careful and everything. Also, I'm just trying to unlock some kit swag so that I end up with all normal unlocks at some point, thus the recon.

I went on some work trips and forgot about them and recently noticed / remembered them when perusing my downloads list. I have two separate problems and I wonder who can help me out:

Burnout: Paradise shows up in the download list but it won't download. It tries and after a while it says error 8002AD23 or sometimes 80029516. Either way, I can't get it to download. What am I missing?

BTTF #5 doesn't even show up in my download list. It's BTTF #1-4 and that's it. How do I get that?

Thanks for your help.
This might help for the first error code listed:

Hey can you guys add SVD-420. That's my younger brother David. He just started playing BF3 and needs some squad buddies.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

i thought the 8002AD23 error had something to do with the media server - I disabled the media server and never had this error again. dunno about the other error.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Love how the Battlefield thread turned into a Burnout thread.

I'd be down for some burnout too. I downloaded the Island pack forever ago and never played it, so it'll be like a new game all over again.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Okay, okay, we'll play Burnout... AFTER I get the PSN to let me download it. Don't want you all burned out on it before I even play for the first time. How punny.

Been doing BFBC2 the last few nights and having a blast. Will probably continue this week.

Not sure what my weekend will look like, in terms of gaming. I haven't been able to convince my wife that my bringing our PS3 down to Iowa to play side-by-side with Octo is a good thing so my brother and I will be together with just one PS3 for a couple days before Christmas (we may play something we can both play at the same time like MoH or Warhawk) and then I don't know if I'll want to steal away for Christmas or not. There's a part of me who actually wants to go online to see what turn out is like on such a major family-gathering holiday (Christian or not, a lot of folks gather for it) and see what it's like.

I envy you...playing Paradise for the first time.

Been doing BFBC2 the last few nights and having a blast. Will probably continue this week.

I will gladly play an older game if it's better than the current ones...see Warhawk and Burnout above.

Spoiler:
Hell, I almost bought MW2 this weekend...but don't tell Cruz. The only thing that stopped me was overpriced DLC.

...we may play something we can both play at the same time like MoH or Warhawk...
Warhawk was ridiculously fun last week...tempted to let it go on a good note...only thing missing was Flip, Steve and obviously Chew. Such a charmingly simple game. So many great memories.

1. Push gas

2. Steer

3. Do crazy shit in unison with others as directed by host (me).

4. Crash into Slider repeatedly and/or mock him for selling a badass game.

Thus endeth the lesson.

Lately, when I've been on Hulu in the middle of the night, I've had it running in the background while I do work of some sort. Can't really mutlitask while playing BF3.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Staged, but how cool would it be if you actually pulled off the move at 1:45?

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Is the original Battlefield Bad Company worth $8 used? Am I missing anything by buying it used?

Octo plays Medal of Honor and I picked that up brand-new at Amazon for $11.04 this morning and we're thinking about playing that and perhaps doing BBC1 as well.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Given that 2 of the 8 maps in BC1 are in BC2 (Harvest Day and Oasis), I'm not sure I'd bother. And given that they were "back by popular demand", I'm guessing they were 2 of the best maps.

Unless you're just looking to play the single player, of course.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

The 2 maps in BC2 are not the same as the ones BC1. BC1 is definitely worth $8 in my opinion. I played it as recently as August and there was still a large amount of people online because the online trophies for it are a monumental task (it's one of the hardest platinums around if you care about that stuff). I'd even bet you'd find more competitive matches right now in BC1 than in BC2. Plus the single player was by far the most non-linear of the 3 as well.

I think he's traveling...but yeah...itching for a Burnout night.

No other driving game has that multiplayer charm for me...amazing that you almost never even race outside of the single player.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Let's face it the douche factor plays a big part in the enjoyment of the game.

We really need to get this going - especially for Paradise island (Is that even waht its called???) DLC.
