Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
I had a handful of spectacular games yesterday afternoon too. One epic battle came down to the final two tickets.... which my team ultimately lost because we had an inordinate number of snipers who were merely guarding one objective. The game was basically two solid squads and a crap squad against at least one very coordinated squad and wave after wave of tanks. I had two wookies in my squad but they were shadowing me and doing a fantastic job of spotting, marking and bringing the fire from the sky. The other team had a tank spammer that was as good as anyone I've seen.
I finished with the top score on my team but tank spammer took the Ace.
The game must have been 45 minutes of 12 on 12.

Yep, kid is fierce. Probably the best game was the one where you went to pick him up. When you left, we were a bit short handed but keeping it close, and you dropped in at about 30 to 35, and we cleaned it up from there.
I was trying to explain a funny thing I got into the other night with this guy sasquatch on my friends list. On Oasis, we had pretty well overrun the other team and they all dropped off. It turns out that on that dirt street by Charlie, if you destruct the ground, it fills with water. Our team mined the street all the way from one end to the other and were jet skiing down the street and ramping off mines at the end of it. So hilarious and badass.

BC2 felt like BF3 today...lots of super douchey players on the weekend...I want to break things.
Had a good time last night with Shum, Lee and Spatula though. Highlight was some dude knifing Shum and taking the time to teabag him a bit...just long enough for me to stick my blade in his nugget in mid-teabag with Shum watching on the kill cam. Shum was

Much better times later on tonight. Think we had 5 of us on...R2, Shum, Spatula, Ogs and me.
I did run across a couple of douchey tendencies tonight though...those two tank guys and the snipers on Harvest Day and those guys that kept hanging out in the tower on White Pass were particularly annoying.
Highlight of the day was 3-4 different badass comebacks.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
Played a lot of engineer with USAS and mines last night and was really having a blast...mine kills galore...5-6 ace pins in a row. I don't really use pistols much, but they aren't bad medium range weapons when you're carrying a shotty.
I also discovered that you can use mines to help your team dominate a map if you do it right. On Oasis, we could use the vehicles, and they basically couldn't, which let us move around more freely and allowed my guys to spam the Bradley for a good bit.
I also think the engineer might be a bigger point scam than the medic. I parked behind a tank for a good while while it was in multiple tank battles and was putting up absurd repair numbers.
I've also run across a couple of really good recon guys in the past few days. When recon guys roll with a shotgun or G3 and use those motion mines consistently...damn.

Full week here. If you see me on it's because I miraculously fit everything into my schedule or I'm being irresponsible.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
Rough day in the Battlefields yesterday...found myself in some brutal maps.
I played with Ogs and Flip for a bit, and we staged an epic comeback on Nelson Bay, and then later I joined a couple of guys I met and we had a couple of decent rounds against some really good players. Then on Harvest Day, I'm rolling, crazy kill streak defending Alpha, multiple vehicle kills, combat excellence pin, leading all players by about 1500 points...and the PSN kicks me off. It couldn't happen on one of the umpteen maps I was getting stomped.
Then Lee jumped on, and we were doing pretty good work. We lost but put up a hell of a fight on Arica Harbor in perhaps the craziest most fast paced round I've ever played. I think we all had 9000-10000 points that round. I had to get off when we went into a Panama Canal map and I got stabbed about 5 times in 10 minutes. These guys had all of the objectives except for one and were just toying with me at the one they didn't have...or at least it felt that way.

Anybody on after 10:00pm CST tonight? I'm hoping I might have a chance to take a gaming break tonight and if those COD:MW2 boys aren't on, I hope to be unslinging Uncle Carl.

Good times last time, for the most part. Friz, Ogs, myself, and a little later Spatula. Before Spatula joined we were playing Atacama against some chopper monkeys. We were winning handily but it was really frustrating. Friz flips his lid, quits out, takes our 4th person with us. Ogs and I decide we can stick it out. The damn match must have taken another 15 minutes and we barely won by like 20 - 30 tickets. They ended up taking all the bases when there were down to their last 20 tickets or so and our lead dwindled from over 100 tickets. It was an exercise in frustration. We should have quit too.

i planned to join you guys after COD last night, but i saw there were 4 of you anyway, so likely i would have been on a team of randoms and then my daughter flipped her lid and i had to quit to feed her. I plan to be on tonight for a while though if others are playing.
