Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

So tonight, Octo, spatula, yawmush and I are playing and we have all 4 bases on panama. The other team isnt even attempting to leave their base and the ones who are are dying pretty quick, because, let's face it, we are Douchebags...Yawmush says, "i havent flown a UAV in a while, Im going to jump on this one and use it to spawn camp!"

I said, "frizby would be so mad at you right now," and then sent him a message, but he logged off like seconds later and I dont think he saw it.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Sent a squad invite to ya, Friz, but didn't see ya.

Flip, did you rage quit? We turned it around and rolled 'em for a while.

Been playing BFBC2 for two weeks and I've been Level 41 the entire time. I forgot how long it takes to level up in this game. I can't wait for Level 42, it's gonna be sweet!

Nah. I didn't rage quit. My daughter woke up and was mightily upset. Guess she had a dream or something. Figured it was my last game anyway so I hurried upstairs before she woke the wife. But I failed. So all was for nought.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Got the invite this morning along with a message from R2

Yawmush is spawn camping because you aren't here to stop him
My son had the PS3 last night...long story involving him getting Arkham City for Christmas and me having to let him play it sometime...but only after I played the crap out of it.

Don't cry for him...dude got a 32GB iPod Touch as well.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

The best part about the spawn camping was that I hopped in the UAV *after* R2, Octo, and Spatula were all most of the way there.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

I finally got the "MVP" ribbon and trophy. This game is seriously frustrating, my K/D ratio is pathetic and never seems to get any better. I do enjoy the helicopters and squads are quite fun when everyone is working together but I'm not sure if those things are enough to keep me interested.

I keep trying to play with some of you but rooms are always full or everyone's on different games. I'll be on a bit more now that Christmas is past us. My kids took up all my free time.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

If I see someone on that I really want to play with, lately it's been Vong so I can reciprocate on trying to take his tags I'll keep repeatedly trying to join the lobby for a good 5 to 10 minutes. Eventually someone will drop and I'll be able to join the server.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

If any of you feel comfortable sending me your mailing address in private message or on Facebook, my wife is sending out our first family photo Christmas cards and I would enjoy sending one to you.

In other news, I'm picking up Burnout Paradise on Friday afternoon and will be online as soon as I can that night.

Word of advice, pop it in and let it start downloading updates as soon as you are able to. If you wait until you're ready to play to pop it in, you won't be joining us for a while.

I'd say as soon as you get home pop it in and walk away and tell the household to stay off the interwebs.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Vong, seems like you're rapidly climbing the leaderboard. Awesome work considering you basically didn't start until almost everyone on here stopped playing

I might have to get back into it so I don't lose my lead in the BF3 rankings. It just wouldn't be right if you topped BOTH games.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

I have a feeling I'll eventually catch up in BC2...lost 7 months in there, and as fast as levels are coming in 3, it would be hard to not hit 50 at some point.

@ Spatula...no joke about those Burnout updates...SIZEABLE. Assuming he sorts that out, are we on tonight?

I don't know... Vong has 2000+ matches and 12000+ kills in BC2 and is only level 43. Seems like leveling up is a much bigger grind. I was racking up 15000-20000 per round in BF3 with all the ribbon bonuses and such. Granted I didn't play very long, but I don't remember coming anywhere near those kind of numbers in BC2.

I just mean that I intend to keep playing BC2 rather than BF3.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

I'd like to get into BC2. I definitely didn't get as much out of it as everyone else here. My biggest issue now is the vehicle controls got reversed in BF3, and I got so used to the change that it's aggravating to flip-flop between the two games. I'm just gonna have to pick one and stick with it for awhile.

Thank ya. I've gotten used to the controls and gameplay now in BF3. The things that bothered me in the beginning don't seem to now. Plus I just unlocked the USAS, so now I can be a USAS noob and piss people off with it. LOL

I played a few rounds of BC2 and it seemed slow compared to BF3. I still like it but from playing BF3 I can run circles now in Bc2. I just don't like how long it takes to level up in BC2.

On a side note, I noticed by your BF3 stats you're a tank whore. I'm a pretty damn good gunner if you ever need a one in a match. LOL

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

I'm definitely a tank whore and I'll gladly take a passenger. We can wreak some havoc when I get a good gunner with me. Although... I seemed to be having much less success after they dumbed down the anti-chopper weapons. I hope they revert back to the way it was because helicoptere are ridiculously hard to destroy since the patch. Don't know how they think needing 5+ stinger hits is more balanced... or realistic for that matter.

Choppers are a bitch for sure, but most times you can still win a match by ignoring them. I've taken a few out just with the tank guns if the douche flying is just kinda hovering but if he knows what he's doing then they can be lethal.

I usually run engie with repair tool as a gunner. Clear the area of C4 happy bitches and then repair while the driver is taking out a tank. I've stayed in one tank entire matches that way. LOLOLOL

I miss the old days of BC2 and tracking a chopper with a good old Uncle Carl. One hit and down goes da choppa. Now the only time I engage one is if I'm in another chopper. I've tried stingers but they always have flares so it's a waste. Sigh....I miss the Carl.
