Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Had to talk myself out of jumping in Vong and Shumway's game tonight after Warhawk.

Vong is on this game like a crack whore!

I saw they were on, too, and was also tempted. Homework to finish up before bed, though.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

I'm actually getting better now. My k/d ratio is going up to .31. LOL I'm learning to aim and view the whole screen. It's fun as hell. But I enjoy it playing with you guys moreso though. Too many people want to do their own thing and this game is very team based.

I knifed two campers by a flag and shot their spawn mate in the face with my SPAS. My biggest win was Shooting 2 enemies riding an ATV with my shotty and blowing them and their little vehicle to hell.
I also earned my first ACE pin in a game of rush! WOOHOO!!!

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

on the Ace pin!

It occurs to me that one stat is misleading: Teamkills

If you've played a lot of hardened (which has team damage), your teamkills will be much higher. Applies to me, Gonzo and patronius mostly. It's cool because you can spawn on your douchebag sniper teammates, take them out with the defib, and then revive them to get 80 of your 100 negative points back. It's very therapeutic.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Tomorrow I'm taking the PS3 apart to get my Battlefield disk out. I'm already out of warranty so I'm disassembling that bitch before I swap it for another Slim.

Funny you should mention. I cloud saved my entire system two days before the croakage. Thanks PSN+!

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Why does the video say March 30, 2011 and Amazon says the release date is December 31, 2011?

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Who knows why it says Mar 30, 2011. Amazon is most likely using 12/31 as a placeholder date since they know/assume it will release this year. They will update once the actual date is released.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

I'll be on later tonight around 10pm EST. Just noticed the new BF3 preview shows the prone position. Great. More ways to kill a wookie....laying down. LOL.

I also picked up Vietnam last night to mess with. I know not all of us have the expansion, but figured it would be fun every once in awhile. We need to set up a private game on a helo map and practice flying or something.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

3 gold squad and 2 ace pins in 4 games...and wookies were stabbed...and dogtags were taken...and fun was had.

I tried to join digiwok in a game but I couldn't get in...forgot how much he liked this game.

Will likely be on later.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Just an FYI. The other day I played against a squad of guys who were in the top 30. I currently have the dogtags on the number 3 player in the world.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

I was on downloading all my all my PSN stuff to my backup Slim. Queued up a ton of downloads and let it roll. Warhawk is back. Rock Band tracks are a motherfucker. I haven't even started on the stuff prior to Rock Band 3.

Spent the night inside the bowels of 60g. Lost one screw, broke a ribbon clip... but I've got my Battlefield disk. May I just add, fuck you Sony for not putting a fan test on this model. I'm not even going to get into my thoughts about your soldering compound.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Awesome Awesome Awesome games tonight with Diecast, Ogsoley, and Shumway. The early games with Shumway were especially funny for some reason. We were just rolling dudes and talking trash.

I got 8 of my 10 kills in one match with knives...bet I got 80-100 total tonight.

In another, Diecast, OG and I were the top 3 players, all with well over 3000 points and only one other player had over 2000.

A couple more Ace pins and a bunch of gold squads.

Antitank mines are among my new favorite things.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Pulled a Frizby in my last round with Lee, Og, and Darth, ran into a building, knifed two guys, then two more came running up, took out a 3rd with my assault rifle then was mowed down by the last though I had him down to about 50%. Great times. Those first 3 rounds w/ Frizby and Lee were freakin' great. Some of my best K/D ratios since I've played.

Wasn't it you who said "We're rickrolling these guys!"? We really were doing a great job of sticking together and focusing on objectives, and that's when the game is at its best.

Later, Lee, OG and I were in a couple of very close games...evenly matched teams who were equally focused. I think we lost one by 15-20 points and then won one by about 30.

I wish, that was Lee. Teamwork absolutely makes a difference. Mics really help prevent needless extra deaths. I'm pretty sure when Lee and I joined that first map the tickets were like 110 - 200 and the three of us made a huge difference and led to a win.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

The March 30th date is the date they will release the next trailer video in the series, not the actual game's release date.

I should be on tonight about 8-9 cst. Later

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

EA has BFBC2 as a potential flash deal today, provided they receive the requisite 1000 votes by 6pm PDT / 9pm EDT. Those of you fence-sitters, here is a great opportunity:

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

I needed to let off some steam after a meeting last night but didn't have a chance to play until you'd all been gone for around an hour. Jumped into a game with a squad who never spoke into their headsets yet really knew how to work together. We spawned on each other constantly, captured bases together, hopped into Bradleys together, and gave each other a ton of critical team kills and assists. Meanwhile, I revived like I'd never revived before and racked up the points.

Earned my 5000 point squad badge for my 100th team assist and racked up a ton of kills, too (getting better at the sightscope). Both leveled up to Corporal Level 7 and earned the M-6- machine gun all in that round. Felt good and I definitely felt like I'd let off some steam.
