Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
I think I like this one better (shows Ace and Gold Squad pins and is kind of funny).
edit: adding a bunch of people who will be regulars but likely haven't done bfbcs...for Spatula's use later. I updated all of their names in bfbcs, and these should update later.

in regards to post 77 -
What does the Vet under your rank signify?
frizby is a Heavy machine gun toting medic whore
Love how Slider's 3rd most common kills are with C4 - 12% squadplay attitude - way to douche it up Lone Wolf Mcquaid
yawmush's squadplay attitude - 121% - impressive
6 of us have knives in their top 3 weapons - holy shopshire slasher - seek help immediately

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
Good times tonight aside from flip's PS3 taking a dump ( ).
Diecast, flip, murray, spatula, and murray's friend "ding" were kicking butt, but I did hate losing the last map. Added ding to the OP since I've played with him twice now.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
I had to look it up to figure out what it meant...so here's the formula:
Squad points+Team points, divided by Bonus points+Objective points.
Still not sure what it means given the fact that there's nothing more "squad friendly" than grabbing objectives.

Sucks about that YLOD, flip.
Also sucks about our getting trounced on some of those maps.
Also also sucks I didn't get that M-60 tonight. SO close but it was time to stop.
Good times, all. I'll be out of town this Friday so I won't be around. It was nice to get a fix in tonight, instead.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
If people are interested in having their banners updated while chess is deployed I have the second post in the thread and will gladly edit it with updates, perhaps once a week if I can remember.
I'll say, too, that the capacity to track the sheer breadth and amount of stats in both this game and others like it fascinates me. This is an advancement in gaming that I'll bet the average non-gamer doesn't think about. They know improvements in graphics are important, likely understand better play control is a good thing, yet they probably don't know about the whole stats issue and I wonder if that's where their understanding in why some people are so very into gaming comes into the realm of true deficiency.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
I'm good with that, but there's really no point. Anybody can update those and they will change automatically in my post. I'll also be online while deployed.
But hey, if somebody wants to volunteer to do something:
Spatula: just quote the code in post 77 and paste it onto your second post...preferably at the top or just replace the post entirely. I'll delete that part of the OP later.

Worst fucking part about the YLOD during Battlefield is that the phatty digested my Battlefield disc. I'm tempted to buy a used one on the cheap just so I don't have to wait for it to be returned. Then I'll give that disc to a friend of mine who bought the damn game for his 360 (his 60g PS3 died last month... and we bought them within a week of each other).

Though the formula's doing something right because Slider is @ 12%.

What's up everyone. Been a blast meeting and playing with you all over the past couple weeks. Looking forward to more rounds, in between Dragon Age 2 sessions.
Thanks for adding me to the list Frizby.

Welcome, dingwog; glad to have you aboard the boards, so to speak.
Post #2 is updated with everyone's DVDTalk and PSN handles to help us better connect here, plus I put our stats in ranking order and will update them as frequently as I can when people move up in rank. It'll be a great way for us to cheer each other on and celebrate those who move up in rank.
My only request is please don't quote the entire post with ALL of the images. It annoys me.

Basically just hold down the eject button with the PS3 turned off and then turn it on from the back.

Spatula.
I know you like the names in rank order, but I'd like to separate my guys from work somehow so they aren't on top and getting random friend invites from DVD Talk. Just put them at the bottom or something...maybe indicate that they aren't DVDTalkers. Thanks.

Not sure what model you have flip, but this might work to get the disk out:

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
I should have known you'd know about it, but I thought it worth mentioning.
I had that model too, and I very carefully removed my drive and took it apart to get Borderlands out when mine croaked. It took a bit but was worth doing.
Hopefully you had a relatively recent backup.
