Killzone 3 or Bulletstorm?

So these two games are coming out on Tuesday. Are you buying both, just one or neither? Which game are you gonna play first?

I'm getting both. And was planning on playing Bulletstorm first. But after going through the KZ3 demo a couple times, I'm leaning towards playing that one.

you messed up my perfect 10 threads in a row with my name as the last reply!!!!

and to answer your question, I would go with Killzone if you are liking the demo...it seems Bulletstorm might be a short game.

Re: Killzone 3 or Bulletstorm?

Going to buy Killzone 3 tomorrow, hopefully.

I'm on the fence regarding Bulletstorm, but I'm leaning towards a rental.

I'm going with Killzone. I didn't care for the demo of Bulletstorm much.

Buying Killzone 3, not interested in Bulletstorm after playing the demo.

Preordered KZ3 from Amazon via Home. Waiting for some reviews and opinions before picking up Bulletstorm. Might get it later this week at Kmart if its well received, but not yet sold on it as anything more than a rental. Will check a few Redboxes for it on the way to work tomorrow though.

Re: Killzone 3 or Bulletstorm?

Both are "pick em up when they're cheap" games for me. Neither of the prior Killzone games did much to differentiate itself from the generic pile, aside from some cool lighting from time to time in #2, and 3 doesn't look vastly improved. Bulletstorm looks repetitive but could be fun.

KZ3 has a single-player campaign that's 8+ hours, compared to Bulletstorm's 4+ hours. Do the math.

KZ3 also has online multiplayer which may or may not give you hours of enjoyment. Bulletstorm has a horde mode which may or may not give you hours of enjoyment.

Re: Killzone 3 or Bulletstorm?

I've heard mostly 8+ hours for KZ3 and around 7 - 8 for Bulletstorm, where'd 4+ come from? (Though I suppose either can be as short or as long as you want, based on difficulty).

Neither. Didn't like the Bulletstorm demo, and after renting and beating Killzone 2 a while back, I have no interest in that series anymore.

Same here. Thought Bulletstorm's demo was way overhyped. KZ3 is a rental - Gamefly is shipping it to me. KZ2 was a day one purchase for me but i didn't care for the multiplayer. All the maps were too bleak and dirty.

Bulletstorm is 5 1/2 hours, per IGN. Someone at GamesUK said the SP in KZ3 was completed in 4 1/2 hours, but I haven't read anything like that anywhere else.

FWIW, though the final scores for Killzone 3 and Bulletstorm were similar (8.5 and 8.0 respectively), the score for lasting appeal was far different with Killzone 3 getting a 9.0 and Bulletstorm getting a 5.5. I think this was entirely due to the multiplayer aspects of the two games.

I choose: Wait for MLB11 to just post-pone your disappointment in an A-list title.

Re: Killzone 3 or Bulletstorm?

Shit! UPS routed my Amazon order through Louisville, KY and it's delayed due to weather. Won't get it until tomorrow.
