So are we going to use Championship II 5 Minutes as the official throw down mode?

Re: Pac-Man Championship Edition DX Official Thread of THE KING OF GAMES

The achievements are too easy, but that's the only criticism I have so far.
Oh, except they need to improve the leaderboard, it's rather kludgey.

You know what's bullshit? That a game like this isn't available for the DS/PSP! I shouldn't have to wait until I get home in order to feed my addiction play this game.

Actually, I did watch the #1 replay and was shocked to find out that I followed the exact same path for 98% of it. There was only one maze pattern that I did differently.

I totally beat that score, but then there was like a power outage or something. Yeah...that's it.

I think once the dust settles CE will stand out as the better game but DX will probably still be more fun.

I agree. Once the newness fades CE will remain the champ. I still think my initial impression stands. The path is too limited in DX to provide much variety in gameplay or scoring. That doesn't make it any less fun of course, it will just dampen the replay value some.

The original CE was scheduled for PSP for like two years, I think it's been scrapped at this point.

But DX has CE in it - doesn't that make CE, alone, superfluous?

DX simply has the one of the six mazes from CE (Championship I).. but the two games play vastly different.

Dammit. 15k. That's doable. That's only 5 more ghosts.

Well, this isn't Call of Duty, it's not a game that blows its entire sales load day one. Something like this will be a slow burner, I'm sure.

That's just the number of Gold members ranked on the leaderboards. The actual amount sold could be more (or less, even).

I thought that Silver also were on leaderboards? And the number is less - given that a bunch of these are likely codes that were given out.

But with a 1 week refresh on the game of the week and people's notorious ADHD, I don't see this climbing to 30k...just my guess. Hope it cost less than 300k to develop/license/market!
