Yeah. This is a terrible way to do this. I'm really considering exporting the excel file into an image and just updating the image. As long as I always export using the same file name, that should keep things simple.

Do you need everyone to be able to get 5 stars all the time on expert level? I don't think I can get 5 stars on every song even on vocals but I would get close. What time do you usually get on?
