I definitely enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it as well. With that said, I couldn't take a 3rd Bioshock under water. Bioshock Infinite is just what the doctor ordered to get me excited for another Bioshock sequel.

Nice, I'll grab it when I can snag it for around $20, like the first...

Re: Bioshock: Infinite

They had me at "Bioshock."

(And I think Bioshock 2 was just as good as the original -- better in some ways)

I really enjoyed it, but it's ultimately just more of the same and it doesn't achieve the same sense of wonder as the first game.

Re: Bioshock: Infinite

Bioshock 2 took place in the same city so while it was good, it was kind of disappointing.. A new locale is what this needs. So waiting for this

A lot of people liked it. I thought it was a middling rehash of the first game. The only interesting addition was the concept of defending a Little Sister while she harvests. Other than that it was just more of the same. It's worth a rental IMO.

Re: Bioshock: Infinite

It felt like it would have been better as an expansion honestly. It just didn't feel like a full retail game. That said, it was still excellent but as said earlier it just didn't have the wonderment of going through rapture for the first time.

Re: Bioshock: Infinite

Bioshock was a game I couldn't get into, but I really love the design sense of these worlds. This looks so goddamn cool.

+1

I had my reservations going in, and while the atmosphere wasn't as fresh the second time around, I had no problems diving back into Rapture. It was just as captivating as the original.

I liked it a lot. The mystery is gone, the story is worse, but the combat, plasmids, and weapons are better imo.

Bioshock 2 was called "Sea of Dreams" before they dropped it, so it could be changed.

Cool trailer, though. I wonder how it'll tie into the first Bioshock?

Re: Bioshock: Infinite

Definite buy. Gameplay wise, I hope it takes its cue from BioShock 2, which was a significant improvement over the original.

Very exciting.

Re: Bioshock: Infinite

Bioshock 2 was a waste of space. I didn't realize it was made by a different team. That explains why it's just a poor rehash of the first game. Bring on the Infinite!

Yes, it was hard to go back and play the first because the gameplay was improved for the second game. And 2 did have some wonderful new pieces in it. The Big Daddy had some great unique abilities and I really enjoyed the exploration of the relationship between them and the Little Sisters.

Still, glad to see this series move to a new setting. With that trailer alone they've made the history of the universe so much more interesting.

Re: Bioshock: Infinite

So, we're kinda goin' Steampunk in the Bioshock world?

The woman in the sign holding the baby reminded me of an Elsworlds Wonder Waman and the "Flower Girl" reminded me of an Elseworlds Zatanna.

Looks nifty. I wasn't a big fan of Bioshock 2, but I'll be checking this one out for sure.

This coming from the same guy that returned Singularity and got Lego Harry Potter.

Re: Bioshock: Infinite

I'll miss the claustrophobic underwater atmosphere of the of the 1st 2 games.
