NCAA Football 11 (360, PS3) July 13, 2010
The demo is out and I played around with it a bit last night. Seems pretty meaty for a demo, this go around. 8 different teams to play as instead of the usual 2.
Quick thoughts:
* Is Lee Corso gone from the announce crew? Or is the commentary in the demo just scaled down?
* Finally, there's ESPN integration. EA Sports has only had the exclusive ESPN license since 2005. It took five years to get it into the game?
* Graphics seem to be improved greatly, like an extra layer of detail on everything.
* Playbooks are simplified. Excellent.
* Presentation has taken a huge step forward. Still no halftime show though (or is it just not in the demo?).

I liked the demo, although I thought it was too easy on Varsity and then All-American. I'll try Heisman next. Also, I played the PS3 version, although from reading impressions, people are saying the 360 is better. I'll try that one next also....I'll probably get the 360 version (assuming it will still have the Roster Locker so I can download the real names eventually)

I played a few games on each now. The PS3 seemed easier for some reason on the same All-American difficulty.
Also, I had the 360 lock up on me 3 times now. Once the video locked up, but the audio kept played.
Also, Dell has this for $39.99 currently....

played the demo, not that it mattered since i would have to buy this regardless what they released
put in my preorder for the 360 version yesterday
tried to get amazon to price match dell.. but of course they wouldnt
had amazon cash burning a hole in my pocket.. and they had an offer for $10 off my next video game purchase and a free fathead teammate.. so i figured what the hell.

I've gotten into the routine of picking it up Day 1 and then just playing all the modes I'll never otherwise play once rosters are available.

how long does it normally take until someone puts a roster out? I assume pretty quick?
so you cant start dynasty and then add in updated rosters later?
i guess i could use team building and start my custom season while waiting for the rosters

Also, has it been confirmed that they will have the ROSTER LOCKER this year? I know with 360, before this, it was a PITA to download rosters since it had to be tied to an account or something like that.
I just ask, because if not, I may go the PS3 route. Also, it appears on Operation Sports, that the PS3 will be the system where people are focusing on the rosters.
It seems that the 360 was always the system of choice for multi-platform games. Now, I'm debating on what to get. (I have both systems)

It is usually pretty easy to find the rosters after a few days and it only takes a few minutes. I usually can find the user link from www.ncaastrategies.com . and it is pretty precise. I'm leaning towards picking it up from Dell for 39.99 and having take the free shipping option. By the time I get it the roster updates will be out.
I was curious to see how much interest there is on an online dynasty for the PS3 to start maybe a couple of weeks after release.

I know it's easy to find rosters online. The PS3 is easy as you can just copy the file and use it, on the 360 (before Roster Locker), it was locked down to an extent....I just want to be sure it will have the Roster Locker this year.

I just got a ps3, but I don't have access to the playstation network (no broadband). Can I just use any old usb thumbdrive to get the roster file online and then transfer to the ps3? With my ps2 I always used my max drive.

I got an email from the EA.com store on Friday saying mine had been overnighted to me. I had forgotten I preordered this months ago when they had that $20 off coupon.
