Haven't cared about a FF game in more than a decade, but this looks pretty fun:

It's pretty fun playing as a customized Mii.

Has anyone played The Keep yet? I saw it up in the eShop yesterday when I was downloading the Smash Bros. demo, and the video peeked my interest.

how do you get the demo codes? do you need to pre-order or did they randomly send some out?

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!
I've got two codes for the demo available if anyone wants them.
Sent one to fumanstan, one still left.
Second one sent to Supermallet.
Both gone.

As only the second thing i've downloaded on my 3DS using the eshop, i'd like to reiterate how stupid it is that Nintendo doesn't show actual download progress and makes you unwrap a gift for something you just bought.

This is cool regular 3DS news that will get lost today amidst all the New 3DS news:

Nintendo Japan Reveals These Fantastic 3DS Background Themes As New Site Launches
With the New Nintendo 3DS launching in Japan in a mere few weeks, Nintendo has revealed a whole host of new 3DS background images to feast your eyes upon. Scheduled to arrive in a new firmware update for all 3DS consoles, current handheld users will be able to purchase an array of background themes and custom menu features for a small price on the Nintendo eShop. Nintendo of Europe has already confirmed the Nintendo-led themes will be available during October, but in the mean time Nintendo of Japan has launched a new website detailing each theme.
There are almost 50 background themes to choose from in Japan, so you may just be spoiled for choice. Though the themes may vary for western users, you can take a look at the new website, here, as well as check out the list and their Japanese prices, which all range between 100 and 200 Yen.
Looks like these will be $1-2 each when they launch here.

Here's something you don't see too often -- Tetris Ultimate is cheaper digitally than it is at retail:
SAN FRANCISCO -- October 13, 2014 -- Ubisoft(r) confirmed today that Tetris Ultimate, the latest iteration of the world's most loved puzzle game, will be available for the Nintendo 3DS on November 11, 2014. Tetris(r) Ultimate for Nintendo 3DS features six exciting ways to play Tetris, plus a new single-player Challenge mode that will test the skills and determination of the most die-hard Tetris champions.
Available at retailers for $29.99 and digitally through the Nintendo eShop for $19.99, Tetris Ultimate offers exciting modes, fun features and unique visuals that allow 1-4 players to face off in seven different game modes:
• Battle Ultimate - Be the last person playing after using crazy power-ups! Go on the offensive with Carousel and make your opponent's Matrix shift to the left after each move, or trigger Let it Rain and dump blocks on top of them. Buzz Saw helps you advance by clearing away a number of your lines, especially useful when you're in a spot of trouble.
• Marathon - Complete level 15 and rack up as many points as you can.
• Endless - Keep clearing lines until your stamina runs out!
• Ultra - Race to score as many points possible before time runs out in this three-minute challenge.
• Sprint - Clear 40 lines as quickly as you can.
• Battle - Go head-to-head to knock out 1-4 challengers.
• Challenge - With four mode variants, be prepared for a variety of challenges that will put any player's determination to the test:
o Master - The Tetriminos drop instantly and appear at the bottom.
o Rotation Lock - The orientations of the Tetriminos are random and you cannot rotate them.
o Escalation - As the game levels up, you'll have to clear more lines.
o Invisible - The Tetriminos become invisible as they drop to the bottom.
Tetris Ultimate will also be available for digital download this winter for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, PlayStationVita handheld entertainment system and Windows PC.

Didn't Nintendo do the same with the Super Luigi U add on content? Price it 10 bucks cheaper digitally (with earlier release)?

Is anyone else as excited for Fantasy Life as I am? I bought and started the download before I left for work. Really can't wait to dive into it.

I was only able to put a few hours in so far. Started as a cook. I'm having fun just running around town and seeing all there is to see. I have that "life" leveled up a bit now so I'll probably start another soon; most likely a fighting class of some type.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!
Well, I finally finished The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. I played it off and on over the last few months, which is why it took me so long. Overall, I loved it. I never found it unbearably challenging, with only a couple puzzles that had me stumped (before the inevitable "OHHHHH!!" realization of how to beat it). I really hope this style of Zelda game keeps coming out. I'm sure the full 3D games are fun, but I kind of skipped over them over the years.

Majora's Mask is one of the very few Zelda titles I never played so I will definitely be getting this.
