Well shit, I may get one just for the exclusives and not have to worry about ever playing a game on my PC again.

I think Ill ask my parents to make it a gift for me and let them keep the $100 GC. I dont plan on getting accessories (maybe an extra controller down the line) and my buddies have the 360 so I can just borrow their games.

I picked up my console yesterday afternoon. They had about 6 in the case, no idea how many more they might have had in the back.

I'll be getting the girls up early on Saturday to be out there to complete the deal. Then we'll hit IHOP and come back home for some college football! Sounds like a nice start to the weekend

Bedroom. I still have my old 20gb stored, so I'll just slap that on there and my profile's already on an MU. Only thing I'll probably have to do is get a 2nd gold account so the girls can do netflix in one place while I play in another.

Looks like there's no package deal and the $100 Gift Card was actually free. It sure looks like I can return the console for the full purchase price and keep the gc. Hmmm...

I ended up getting one through Amazon. This is my first Xbox and I got it mainly for Fable 2 and Dead Rising. I'll probably also pick up Left 4 Dead. I think I heard that it was popular for it's multiplayer, which I won't be getting into. Still worth it?

I'd also like to get GTA: Episodes from Liberty City. I'm assuming I'll have to buy GTA4 as well, right? Or would my PS3 disc work? (that last part is a joke)

Any other must-haves?

No. Episodes From Liberty City is a stand-alone disc. If you buy the content off the Marketplace, you would need the GTA IV disc, though.

That's great news. I was assuming I was going to have to double dip on GTA4. Thanks for that....and thanks to both of you for the recommendations. I'll check out prices for used copies of Mass Effect and Gears of War. Going to skip the Rock Band stuff, I just can't get into it.

So, I ordered the Guitar Hero World Tour set, I plan on getting the Beatles Rockband, and my head is hurting trying to best optimize my purchase (need another guitar and mic). Looks like the older stand alone guitar type games are all pretty cheap, but searching for the best deals on controllers seems tougher than it should be. Any suggestions?

Well my deal was a bust. Wal-mart wouldn't let me return the unit I bought a couple of days ago and rebuy it. They had 20 units ordered but they didn't show up. So this morning they gave out rain checks for those 20 units and said they wouldn't offer the gift card on any more. So I just got my money back. Not a big lose. I have no interest in the Amazon deal.
