Re: Borderlands
Better yet, order from Amazon for $49.99 (as of right now) and don't leave the house on Black Friday. That's $15 over using gas and camping in line at BB from 10pm the night before. Or, I just noticed on CAG that it's $44 at Target this week. Well worth it the extra dough to avoid BB on BF, IMO.
Awesome. Thanks Jason.
That doesn't sound right. I'm almost positive the marker moves.

Cannot wait for the DLC. Even though I picked up L4D2 I still went back and played a few missions in single player. This game has so much depth. Again if I'm on and someone is needing another in coop snd me an invite.....coop is a blast.

Re: Borderlands
The one tip I found online for the scavenger missions is that you should ignore the marker (as people have said, it's just in the general area) and use your compass at the bottom of the screen and follow the "loot" icons on there. That's how we found the last hard to find pieces in a couple of the scavenger missions.

Re: Borderlands
This was a cakewalk for me, as were a good chunk of the bosses. I'm guessing I should have done the story straight through, and then done the optional quests. The game overall was pretty easy, so during the second playthrough I may not use some of the upgrades.

Re: Borderlands
I played more of single player yesterday and did some "swapping out" with some weapons and mods between characters. Thanks to a good friend helping out in more ways I can say (leveled up three characters). this is the cool feature, picking up all sorts of goodies, dropping them and bringing another character in to pick it up.
Saw the screens shots over at Teamxbox http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/21550/...s-DLC-Screens/ and must say they really look good. This gel-cell look is growing on me everyday. The key statement in the link above....the first in a series of downloadable expansions

Re: Borderlands
You have to get someone to Host first and pick somewhere like New Haven which has several crates with weapons and such.
The person hosting sends an invite and you bring in the character that you wwant to unload/dropstuff. For me I had a Hunter with mods and weapons for the Siren and the Beserker. I just dropped what I had into two seperate piles.
Exit and save
Have the host send an invite and then bring in you other character.
As long as the Host stays in the same area everything that your character dropped is still in the same place. Pick up what you need or sell or whatever. Repeat with another character.
Also helps if the Host is several levels above you as they can go around, take emenies out and have more powerful weapons and huge loot piles drop. New Haven is excellent for this.
I was able to equip the Beserker with a far better Rocket Launcher and Shotgun than he ever had. I picked up three class mods for him with my Hunter and instead of selling them he has them.
And one more thing.....you can even do with other with two or three people to. Basically a Swap Out Session.

Re: Borderlands
For the heck of it we tried using a totally new character to see what we (the Host0 could do and here's the result.....
I'm at Level 20, have $1.240.000 Million, have the largest Rifle Clip you can get ($733K) and all I have is a Level 6 Rifle, No Shields, No Extra Gun
At least you know can sorta plan ahead. Say if one character picks up a great gun or mod, hang on to if you can and move it to a lower character. Right now my Levels are 34, 30, 25 & 20

800 MSP as previously announced. 1GB, quite a bit bigger than I expected. Now for the long day at work.

Oh, man, I'm so screwed. My co-op partner is on the road from PA back to OK for Thanksgiving. We won't have any time to play together for about a week, but there's no reason why I can't play. I just feel I shouldn't w/o him. This sucks
125 new gamerscore is nice, too bad there's no level cap increase.

Re: Borderlands
Beware of looking at the 2 new secret achievements. All of the new achievements are basically just missions in the game, and the last 2 are spoilers (at least, I imagine so). Having said that, the way they split up the gamerscore is quite funny.
And here they are for those who want to know:

Re: Borderlands
I'm not sure if we'll have a full co-op crew tonight, I'll check with my co-op buddy. By the way I haven't seen how this works with your current characters and levels. Is this a new start over or do you use your current character and levels? If so what happens if you have four people in and everyones levels are all over from say 15 to 40?

Re: Borderlands
It won't be any different than the rest of the game if you have a varied group from 15-40.
You won't start over, you'll simply have access to the new island via a New-U Station / teleporter.
There may be a seeding mission from Fyrestone or Dr. Zed to send you to the island initially.

Can't wait to check out the new missions and map. I'm almost to level 40 and have just a few achievements left to get the Platinum trophy. The Level 50 trophy will be the hardest one to get.

Re: Borderlands
I tried the Zombie Island this morning on my level 16 Siren. Even though you don't have access to quick travel, you'll get one option to go to Zombie Island, and when you get there you'll have another option to go back to Fyrestone. Once you go there your first time it will play a pretty funny cinematic to introduce you to the island. It also scales to your level.

Re: Borderlands
Finally! Something to play. I've been sitting here with only Lego Rock Band, Assassin's Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Peggle Nights, and Lego Indy 2. It'll be nice to have something else to spend my time on.
Blargh......
