Operation Flashpoint 2:Dragon Rising
This on anyone's radar? Comes out this week(Oct 6th) for 360,PS3 and PC.I never played the 1st one but from what I'm seeing(and reading) of this one it has me very interested.
"There are lots of FPS games on the market, with each one of them trying to bring something new and exciting to the table: better graphics, better multiplayer, etc. Most of these games are basically just run and gun without much need for tactics: just kill them before they kill you. And that Rambo generally works. If you are expecting Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising to be like that, you are in for a rude awakening." |

Re: Operation Flashpoint 2:Dragon Rising
Well I finally got around to picking this one up....reviews sort of kept me away, but I talked 3 friends into picking it up, and the high 7's, low 8 reviews it got seem to all agree that if you take away your stupid AI partners and replace them with real teammates it is a better game. I also heard about the brutal difficulty and hair pulling deaths...
Well I am on chapter 4 so far...single player.... I am not going to play it coop till Friday, but I have to say.. A: your teammates are worthless. B: The game is not as hard as people made it out to be C: I am having a blast. Having GRAW withdrawals with the delay of the new game, this is filling the void nicely. I can't wait to play it coop, and for under 20 bucks it is worth picking up!

Sweet. I was really looking forward to this game but the lackluster reviews kept me away.

Re: Operation Flashpoint 2:Dragon Rising
starting missions 6, and this game is really fantastic if you love tactical shooters...if you spent many hours on the coop missions on GRAW 2, this is more of that...
