Rumor of Fatal Frame PS2 Reprint the first one!

I found out today there is possibly a chance the first Fatal Frame (not II or III) is reprinted. After looking on Ebay, I saw one seller taking preorders for it. Does anyone know if this is official? On Game Podunk, it says GameQuestDirect is responsible for the reprint and will be selling it for $49.99. I know GQD reprinted II and III last year but was disappointed they didn't bring in FF1. I'm completely pyched about the first one since being the most valuable out of the three.

I've always heard Fatal Frame 2 was good but how was the original? Is it a scary game?

Fatal Frame 2 got old fast. It was five minutes of great game design repeated over and over.

No but I'm a regular member at Game Podunk which is where I first heard the reprint news. I wanted to post a link to the original Game Podunk article page, discussing the reprint but this forum requires minimum of 30 posts before I can put a link in.

Didn't want to spam random 30 post only to link so I'm just sharing the news. Besides, I figured most of us will Google it anyway. Sorry if you felt it was advertising, that wasn't intended. It was big news to me since I've been waiting for the first one to get reprinted.

No problem! It appears that there are a few users on here happy about this news. I'm glad I held onto my original copy of Fatal Frame as I didn't realize that it was highly sought after. Thanks for the heads up and welcome to dvdtalk!

Thanks dsa_shea, yeah I already preordered my copy. Now just hoping they'll send it soon. The third was scariest for most people but I thought the first one was the best and my favorite out of the three

BTW, Gamestops in my local area (socal) has mint conditions of Fatal Frame 2, and 3 for 39.99. They are marked as used but seem to be in perfect condition.
