I'm not big on Evanescence, but she has an amazing voice. I'll be getting them for the misses anyway.

Wow. Dare I say... in for them all? I never would have thought that I'd have jumped for some Evanescence over Green Day, but I really think those songs should be fun to play. And I haven't heard the new Tap, but whatever. Totally in.

After listening to the Spinal Tap tracks, Warmer Than Hell is the only one I really liked. I'm in for that and the Evanescence pack.

Agreed....they should have gone with "Going Under", a bigger "hit" from their more successful album...

After Nevermind Minus 3 Nirvana Pack 01, is anyone still surprised by bigger hits being held back? I'm just happy I like 2 of the 3 (haven't heard WotW to comment). Whether it's for Evanescence Pack 02 or Rock Band 3 (or Lego Rock Band), the big stuff will come.

Okay, question time: which on-disc artists (RB1 or RB2) do you think have been unfairly ignored or overlooked in the realm of DLC? I want more David Bowie and Radiohead, stat. To a lesser degree, I'd like to see a few from Smashing Pumpkins, OK Go, and Beck.

I would love more Hives, Stone Temple Pilots (rest of Purple please!), Alice In Chains, and Rage Against The Machine.

Also I would like 3 new Queens of the Stone Age songs every week till we have them all.

I'll probably get it all, but damn it would have been nice to have more stuff from the first Evanescence and classic 'Tap. God it would be awesome to get the entire "Smell The Glove" release.

I'll have to hear the Spinal Tap songs to decide but I love their old stuff... and for Evanescence I'll get Bring Me to Life and Call Me When You're Sober - the other track I don't really care for.

Would you rather have a song that you are not familiar with or maybe even hate but was a blast to play OR your favorite song regardless of how boring it may be?

Man, that Spinal Tap announcement is disappointing. Especially since GHII had Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight. I'll have to listen to the songs to see if I like them. On the other hand, I would buy any of the songs from the movie, or even Christmas With The Devil.

I don't understand how you can hate a song, yet have fun playing it?

I would rather have a boring song that I love.

And thank god I can save money next week.

^ Totally agree. I've never bought a song because the "chart is fun".

I buy what I enjoy or what I know others will enjoy. I sometimes get suckered into things based on price or package deal, but only when I won't mind playing it.

This is why I passed on Iron Maiden, regardless of how fun/challenging the charts may be.

There's a number of songs in Rock Band that I don't like at all, and wouldn't listen to outside of the game, yet are super fun to play on guitar and drums in game.

(In regards to on disc songs. I probably wouldn't buy DLC that I didn't like.)

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

I've not bought a song that I am familiar with and don't like, but I have bought a song I wasn't familiar with but the chart looked fun. For example, I didn't know the Richard Thompson track, but it looked fun so I bought it. It is one of my favorite songs in the game now and easily in the top 5 of number of times played.

The thing is... once you like the charts and have fun playing it, you no longer dislike or hate the song. I often find myself listening to a song on the radio in my car and think of the charts. I wouldn't say that I hate the song anymore. Now if I hated the song, I'd be turning the channel.

I'm pretty sure you don't see more Smashing Pumpkins since Billy Corgan went with Guitar Hero for DLC (and his image in GH:WT).....

Anyway, I'd love for them to put out a Bon Jovi track pack for DLC....they have a lot of hits that would be fun to play and make for great "party" tracks....

There are still quite a few good Bon Jovi tracks we're missing. I wouldn't mind a Bon Jove mega-pack of like 6 songs or so.
