That doesn't seem to be true at all. I played every extended session last week with FSUNole and we did very well, (he even got into the top 10 for one game.) Yet when the live game came around, neither one of us got into the mob. In fact, one of our friends who hadn't played the game that much got into the mob. It pissed me off and made me think that it has more to do with accuracy than anything else. So if you play for one round and do very well and then wait until the live game, I think that you have a much better chance at getting into the mob.

I have a feeling the Beta contestants are people who are new to the Xbox. If you looked at the gamerscores for people who were The One, they were all really low...like I even saw one in the hundreds if I remember correctly. Also - with 40-70k people playing, getting picked is going to be really random anyway, so I'd much rather wait for a real game where I can win something.

One guy had 80 the other night. Plus, both the live games I played had around 100,000 people playing for the duration, so it isn't that big of a surprise that it'd be a touch random.

Destructoid has had some speculation on that Season Pass thing too. No idea what it could possibly be since they have promised that 1v100 would be free for Gold Members.

If it's a Silver+1v100 thing, that's fine with me. If it's some sort of thing you pay for to not have to schedule reminders, that's fine too. But if they make me pay for the game, I don't know that I would.
